NEW HAMPTON, Iowa -- Hillary Clinton is working hard to counter her image as an arrogant Ice Queen. At campaign stops, she laughs at her own jokes and regales the audience with tales of herself as a little girl who stared into the sky with binoculars hoping to catch a glimpse of Sputnik as it passed by.
"Give me a fair reading as to who I am, not who somebody says I am," Clinton pleaded with a room full of Iowa voters as she wrapped up her remarks at a campaign stop here on Sunday.
But just moments later, in a rare stumble for her highly-choreographed campaign, Clinton demonstrated that people's long-standing impressions of her are right on target.
During the question and answer period, Randall Rolph, a retired Democratic voter from Nashua, Iowa, confronted Clinton on her recent vote in favor of a U.S. Senate resolution calling on the Bush administration to declare Iran's Revolutionary Guard a terrorist organization. The measure has been greeted with suspicion by war critics who view it as a document that President Bush could use as a pretext to launch an attack on Iran.
"Why should I support your candidacy if you haven't learned from the past?" Rolph asked, referring to her 2002 vote to authorize the use of military force in Iraq.
Clinton first thanked him and then countered that, "the premise of the question is wrong." So far, so good. But after offering a description of what was in the resolution, Clinton smugly and dismissively accused him of having been fed the information, saying "obviously somebody sent [it] to you."
Rolph didn't let it pass. "I take exception, this is my own research..."

Later, Dr. Dean flashed his much-talked-about temper at a town-hall-style forum here in a sharp exchange with a 67-year-old retiree, Dale Ungerer. Mr. Ungerer, who said he was a registered Republican but had sometimes voted for Democrats, challenged Dr. Dean to ''please tone down the garbage, the mean-mouthing of tearing down your neighbor and being so pompous,'' questioning why the candidate spent so much time bashing President Bush.Dr. Dean declared, ''George Bush is not my neighbor.'' As Mr. Ungerer, stood up, Dr. Dean said, ''You sit down. You've had your say, and now I'm going to have my say.''
Hillary stated that one of the reasons for her retort was that she had been asked the “same question about three times”.
So, no, she didn’t and hasn’t directly answered it.
I hate to burst your bubble but you were not watching Sputnik at all.
What you were seeing was the rocket booster that launched the Sputnik into orbit.
Sputnik could not be seen with the naked eye.
The political process is such an easy chore for the socialist democrats, if it only weren’t for all those “little people” out there thinking they actually have some say in the affair..../sarc off

I think the best thing to counter Hillary is for Republicans to make it into these events and goad her, because she can’t keep her cool. Video tape the thing and YouTube it. Once she’s exposed as being utterly demented, she’ll be gone.

Amen and dittos! I don't believe its eight more either, its more like 88 more. When you add the "nice guy next door that always votes Democrap because that's what he always did, and his daddy too" to the RPs (Ross Perot or Ron Paul) and the arrogant evangelicals (there's a fair number of them that amen their heads off on Sunday and vote democrap on Tuesday, but they are pure!), there'll be no opportunity to turn the ship around for years.

This headline is the same kind of trash the MSM has been using against conservatives for years. Since she never slapped the guy, how can the writer make such a claim? How can the writer be taken seriously when using these tactics?
