I take it you did not read the point upthread. The point was that “good persons” that don’t accept Jesus as Saviour will not be saved. You can be a “good person” without Jesus, but you can not go to Heaven.

I don't agree with your beliefs, but then I think it is pretentious and, actually, quite silly to spend time trying to determine who God will welcome to heaven. You don't know and you won't know if and until you get there yourself. God sent his Son to teach us how we are to live so that we can be united with Him in heaven, not to teach how how to judge whether someone else will or will not enter the Kingdom of God. I know what God has revealed to me and what He expects of me and that is all that's important. What God has revealed to and expects from others is known only to God and is something that is not necessary for me to know.

BTW, most American Christians, even Evangelicals, believe that those of other religious faiths can go to heaven.

A Beliefnet/Newsweek poll conducted in 2005-AUG asked 1,004 randomly selected American adults about their religious beliefs. 7 One of the questions was: "Can a good person who isn't of your religious faith go to heaven or attain salvation, or not?" Results were:Group Yes, they can attain heaven No, they cannot attain heaven

Evangelical Protestants: 68% 22%

Other Protestants 83% 10%

Roman Catholics 91% 3%

Non-Christians 73% 3%

American population 79% 12%

The margin of error of the Beliefnet/Newsweek poll is ±3 percentage points.
