Yesterday, Randy Ertman, father of one of the murdered girls, was on Laura Ingraham’s show. He said that during one of Bush’s presidential campaigns, he asked Bush if he would keep these murderers on death row. He said that Bush shook his hand, looked him in the eye, and said that he would. Randy said that Bush just plain lied to him.

I wonder what Bush would say to him now.

There’s one slight ray of hope. It seems the SCOTUS may be pi$$ed that Bush is inserting himself in court affairs. If the courts feel their power is stepped on, they may go against him. The bad thing is the Intl court wants a new trial, so they may think they have to defer to other judges.

My view is if any official, court or executive even mentions International courts or law, they need to face impeachment. They took an oath to uphold and defend American law. If they even give a whit about Intl law, they have abandoned their oath.

Anymouse, that’s the best idea I’ve heard yet. What difference does it make that Mexico has no death penalty? The crimes were committed here.

What are they going to do about it, if the slimeball gets no reprieve? Take him back, dead or alive, and keep him thee. And the rest of the scum with him.

He was elected Governor of Texas.....before he became King George. Do you know that you are on a three day old thread? There are at least two more current, one yesterday and one today.

You should post the link to the original thread then. Some of us just responded to the one that was at the top.

Can someone please explain to me how a treaty that was *not* ratified by 2/3 of the US Senate is binding upon the state of Texas?

They’re owed nothing. They didn’t want the fans they had. They said so. They got their wish. Now they can live with it.

That said, a LOT of us are ashamed of him too. He’s showing us where his true loyalty lies.

The Texas governor doesn't have the power to pardon death row inmates.

But he can give clemency.
