After two hours of deliberation, we voted on a resolution that can be summarized as follows: If neither of the two major political parties nominates an individual who pledges himself or herself to the sanctity of human life, we will join others in voting for a minor-party candidate. Those agreeing with the proposition were invited to stand. The result was almost unanimous.
The other issue discussed at length concerned the advisability of creating a third party if Democrats and Republicans do indeed abandon the sanctity of human life and other traditional family values. Though there was some support for the proposal, no consensus emerged.
Speaking personally, and not for the organization I represent or the other leaders gathered in Salt Lake City, I firmly believe that the selection of a president should begin with a recommitment to traditional moral values and beliefs. Those include the sanctity of human life, the institution of marriage, and other inviolable pro-family principles. Only after that determination is made can the acceptability of a nominee be assessed.

"Who are YOU to say whether I am a Christian or not???"
"That is something ONLY God can decide." These are the exact words from James Dobson I just heard a couple of hours ago when Hannity was interviewing him, hello!!!
Meaning???
WE - myself, my husband, both of my daughters and their husbands and all five of our grand children. Unfortunately my parents passed away this year or they would have also voted as we plan on voting. Eleven votes, not many but we hope they help.
COOL :) Sorry about your parents!
“If the nominees are Rudy and Hillary”
If the nominees are Rudy and Hillary, Hillary will win in a landslide.
A while back, maybe about a year and a half ago, I stated here on FR that I was very open to possibly voting for the Constitution Party in the next presidential election if the Republican nominee wasn’t who I wanted it to be. The overwhelming majority of responses from others ranged from telling me that I am naive if I want to throw my vote away, to I am part of the problem and would contribute to handing over the country to the party of Kennedy, Clinton, Reid, and Pelosi by voting third party, to I am an outright idiot and not a ‘true’ conservative. Now, apparently, voting third party and handing the country over to the party of Kennedy, Clinton, etc., is perfectly fine and voting for Rudy if he happens to be the Republican nominee is out of the question.
I’m not saying that you were one of the posters who went on about this in any way. Frankly, I don’t remember and don’t care too much to go searching back that far, and I am only posting this as a response to what you wrote because yours was the most recent post on this discussion that has taken your view. It’s just amusing to me how the tone here on FR has so drastically changed for some. I wonder if those people who had so matter of factly said those things before still feel the same way now as they did then.
C followed by D. :)
Good to know that you would rather put a thieving, America-hating, Marxist crimnal in charge of this country rather than holding your nose and voting for Rudy if he is nominated. Hope you enjoy your popcorn.
Likewise.
You mean a "Republican" of your liking, right?
There are actually conservative patriotic Republicans running, and their name doesn't start with a "T".
I held my nose the last two presidential elections and it got me a president willing to give our country away, unwilling to enforce immigration laws in this country and unwilling to do his job when it comes to securing our borders. I'm tired of having to close my eyes and hold my nose to vote. We might as well spin a wheel to elect our next turncoat.
I am first and foremost a Christian. I am a patriotic citizen of the United States of America. I did put my life and future on the line for the US when I enlisted in the military in 1963. Communism was the enemy then as it is now. The problem we have now, is the communist wield great power in the government of the US and its media. Both of the scum we are talking about have been endorsed by our media. That alone should be reason enough to vote for someone else.
Pompous lout of a fellow isn’t he
Somebody tell Dobson that he’s not the story.
If Rudy does become the candidate we will vote for him as we would prefer him to another Clinton as President, Hillary is a MARXIST.

One of my posts you must have missed.
That was a post that came over 200 posts later.
I posted to your first post, #4.
What did I miss about your FIRST post???
Hard to say.
Obviously, not much.
Obviously but you can go back and read all my posts on this thread to discover an answer.
Obviously you’re still pushing for “voting for the lesser of two evils”, thinking that is somehow going to end up with something other than what it is: if not evil, then pretty bad.
Voting for the “lesser of two evils” is no longer an option; this country cannot abide that any longer.
