WICHITA, Kans., Oct. 4 /Christian Newswire/ -- Operation Rescue announced today that a formal complaint has been filed with the Kansas State Board of Healing Arts against abortionists Shelley Sella and George R. Tiller for alleged illegal acts, unethical conduct, and breach of the standard of care in the 2003 late-term abortion of Michelle Armesto.
Armesto came forward last month about her horrific abortion experience when she gave testimony before the interim joint legislative committee investigating late-term abortions in Kansas.
Armesto released her medical records to Operation Rescue for the purpose of filing the complaint, which alleges 14 suspected violations including beginning the abortion procedure without having taken a medical history or obtaining her consent. It also alleges that Sella ignored the legal requirement that she meet with the patient prior to the procedure, violating the 24-hour waiting period and failed to provide follow-up contact or care. Additionally, the complaint contends that Sella falsified the determination of non-viability in Armesto's 24-week pre-born baby in order to avoid having to comply with the laws restricting abortions on viable babies.
Tiller was included in the complaint because, as the Medical Director of Women's Health Care Services, he is responsible for all medical treatment and care conducted at his facility.
This is the second complaint opened against Tiller for his part in alleged illegal abortions.
Operation Rescue also announced that it has been informed that a separate complaint that was filed in October, 2006, with the KSBHA against Tiller and abortionist Ann Kristin Neuhaus is being advanced to a Peer Review Board. That complaint alleged that Tiller and Neuhaus had an illegal financial affiliation that they formed in order to do abortions past viability. That complaint was filed months before Attorney General Paul Morrison charged Tiller on 19 counts of the same allegation.
"Tiller now faces two Board of Healing Arts investigations that could cost him his license. He faces 19 criminal counts of illegal late-term abortions that could cost him huge fines, and he faces a grand jury investigation that could net literally hundreds of additional counts of illegal abortions from the past five years that could cost him his freedom," said Operation Rescue President Troy Newman.
"This is a full court press against an abortion industry that has too long operated as if they are above the law. It is past time that these people were brought to justice," Newman said.

I would prefer that he was subjected to the same horrific death that the babies he murders are, then re-animated and subjected to it again.
Don’t worry about Tiller the Killer, he has friends in high places. The Governor and Attorney General have both been on his payroll for years. I don’t know if he’s paying the editors, but they love him, too.
“then re-animated and subjected to it again.”
Yeah, like in Groundhog Day” the movie
Yeah that’s the ticket.
There was a short story in an Old Omni magazine where they did that to someone, killing them different ways each time.
I have no real theological basis for this, but I believe there is a special place in Hell for this man and his minions of death.
I think he should spend his life in jail, and while I am not a big supporter of the death penalty, I think he should be killed in the same way he killed those babies.
