So if Romney turns out to be the nominee, the Evangelicals will not vote for him, thus insuring that a Marxist will become President of the U.S. Well then, if this is correct, then let me say this in advance. "Thanks Evangelicals, you're certainly getting what you deserve".

I thought in the primaries you are "primarily" voting for someone--not simply against someone. So the broader question is: "Why would Republican voters vote for anyone they know the base will not support?" (Be it Rudy, Mitt, or whomever?)
