Stillwater blogger creates safety concerns |
|
A school referendum has Stillwater worrying about public safety. Voters will go to the polls in November to vote on more money for the schools. But the debate has been overshadowed by an Internet blogger. What hes been writing has left many people upset.
The blogger goes by the name of The Stillwater Infidel. He supports a new school levy referendum and for those who dont, he has named names and released personal information about them in his blog: addresses, birthdays, former address, vehicle identification, license numbers, childrenwhere they go to school, their ages and activitiesand so forth. The blogger even offers links to maps to the homes of those against the referendum. School Board candidate Jim Kremer said some of his campaign people have actually bowed out, because of the Infidels intimidation tactics. Police said they couldnt find the bloggers identity. But 5 EYEWITNESS NEWS found that same handle on an unrelated web posting, that eventually led us to question former School Board candidate Tom Nacey. At his home, his wife had no comment. In an e-mail to 5 EYEWITNESS NEWS, Nacey refused to be interviewed. However, Nacey did reply, "I urge my fellow community members to become accurately informed and to vote." When Nacey was quested about the blog in a phone interview, he told 5 EYEWITNESS NEWS to run the story.
Stillwater Police said based on the evidence they have, they dont believe any crime was committed. The blogger has since posted an apology on his site saying hes truly sorry, does not condone violence and will go back to "being a fly on the wall." |

AAAAWWW. He's sorry, well then it's all OK. This guy deserves jail time, I'm sorry, you don't go threatening people like this, especially when you consider the number of predators out there who are willing to exploit their children.
Here's another good blog post on him:
Wright County Republican
Stillwater police do not think a crime was committed. I have trouble getting around the fact that the 1965 Voters Rights Act precludes (in chapter 11) folks from intimidating others into not voting, or intimidating them to stop advocating for an election. Tom Nacey is listed as one of Rebecca Otto's top 400 contributors on her website. Look quick before it is taken down as Rick Kajn and Pat Forceia were removed earlier.
Rebecca Otto (DFL) is Minnesota's State Auditor.
If it gets taken down, I'll have a screenshot.

Also, since WHEN does this behavior not qualify as stalking?

No crime committed ... if it happened to me, I would go over and introduce myself. With a baseball bat.

That's my question too.
I think the blogger at Wright County Republican had a good point on that link:

What kind of creep would post info about children.
I thought that everything the socialists do is “for the children”. Apparently not when they don’t get their way (our money)

Im not sure why his blog is still allowed to exist since he was advocating violence toward these people. Wouldn’t a responsible ISP shut him down? He should have his internet access cut off too.

Personally, I'm disappointed it was him, because he's a nobody," she said. "I was kinda hoping it'd be juicier than that - somebody involved in the district, or something like that." Shaughnessy also said she was disappointed Nacey never clearly stepped up to claim responsibility for the Stillwater Infidel postings. "I think he should be called the 'Stillwater Idiot' ... and a coward. He's still hiding and he doesn't have the balls to put his name down. Say what you want to about me, but at least I have the integrity to sign my name under my writings
He he. That's pretty funny. BTW, I wonder how Nacey would feel about his wife's place of employment and other info about her listed. And she's an adult.

"It is unfortunate that what appears to be a disagreement between opposing viewpoints has become a distraction from the core issue of how to best educate the next generation.OH nice euphemism! It's become a 'distraction.' Is that all.
Nacey later confirmed that he sent the e-mail, but he declined to answer any additional questions.
OH HE sent it. Like I hadn't figured that out by the idiotic first statement!

I just can’t imagine this guy putting out info about kids. That’s as sick and low as you could go. Glad his name’s out there now.

Lu Shaughnessy said she was disappointed because she was hoping Stillwater Infidel would be someone with direct ties to District 834 or a pro-levy group. HUH? That's an utterly lame statement. I don't give a rip who he is, he needs justice enacted for what he's done.

Good.
Why does it matter that he’s a nobody. (after all he’s on Rebecca Otto’s top 400 contributors list) I think it’s very telling that he’s PRO LEVY and threatening people who disagree, even threatening their children who he would probably claim he’s doing this for. duh. It doesn’t matter whether or not he’s a ‘prominent’ pro-levy person. Just that he’s someone who doesn’t respect others’ privacy, boundaries, security, or property and wants to take it and sacrifice it for what HE deems important.

This is merely another peek into the back room of the libs - they are totalitarians and woe to those who oppose. The struggle between libs and conservatives is not mere politics. It is a battle to speed up or slow down the destruction of this once great country.
Gosh - when I read the head line, I thought this was Stillwater, OK - where I barely escaped from university with the hair of my chinny-chin-chin!
