Some alumni have threatened to stop donating to Columbia because of the visit of Mahmoud Ahmadinejad. Is that prudent?:

Yes—it's their money, and alumni should feel free to stop giving if they're not happy with the direction of the University.

No—withholding donations over a single speech is short-sighted and wrongly imperils the University's larger academic mission.

No opinion

Couldn’t vote, may be a log-in feature. All I got was results, no voting opportunity.

Poll FReeping notwithstanding, it IS the alums money to do with as they please .. that school has been off track way too far and way too long. Of course it’s the alums from the late 60’s, early 70’s who got the derailment going.

Did you see the article about its ranking in the Washington magazing? Bwhaaaaa, no ROTC, so their rating is lower than the writer thinks it should be. Gotta love it.

Columbia has a right to free speech...and so do we.

Actions have consequences - even for left wing liberal elites...
