Hi everyone....I'm here again asking for prayer for another tiny baby AND HER MOMMY.
Some of you got to know Philip and Monica through this thread 10-ounce baby.
Well, they had a little baby girl, Kaydance Noel, on September 24. She WAS due to be delivered in December but due to complications on Mom's part, she was taken early.
An update on Kaydance........she is off the vents, she just has CPAP, and is mostly on room air only. And she has been since Day 2!!!! She's being fed up to 3 cc's every two hours and is tolerating her feedings very well. I THINK she was 26 weeks, almost to the day, weighing in at 1 pound 9 ounces...Logan's weight....
For those of us who need a visual, that's the equivalent of 6 cubes of butter. Her prognosis sounds very good!!! THANK YOU GOD!!!
Monica.....was in the same hospital as Kaydance but was moved Wednesday or Thursday to a different hospital due to problems she's having. She's in ICU, due to a medical complication that the doctors still haven't figured out. They are, thru the process of elimination, ruling different things out.
She has a bad rash on her body, there was no mention of high blood pressure, although we don't know for sure. She WAS Pre-Eclamptic, which caused her blood pressure at that time to skyrocket, making it deadly for her AND Kaydance during the pregnancy.
The rash is starting to go away, although she has horrible abdominal pains.
Dad? He's a nervous wreck and could sure use our prayers too as he's having to go to two hospitals daily, for the two women in his life. We hear that he's now won Husband of the Year Award as he's been diligently cleaning that house from top to bottom so Monica doesn't have to do ANYTHING when she comes home.
She's not seen her baby since the day she left that hospital....
So! If you will be so kind as to join me in welcoming Kaydance Noel to the world, and join me in prayer that this precious child is able to come home to her (clean!) house....and PLEASE pray that Monica can heal of WHATEVER this is....and Dad...for his peace of mind and for the wisdom to know what to do....
They're a precious young couple, who I pray have nothing but the BEST in life.

You got to hold her again! That’s great news! I could tell in the video that she knows her mommy’s voice, because she stopped crying and listened when she heard you speak.
That’s the sweetest thing to hear that she was wide-eyed and listening to your every word. Bet she’ll love for you to sing to her too. Mine liked to feel a strand of my hair and fall asleep as I was singing to her.
Oh it all sounds so very wonderful and heartwarming. Bless her little heart. She’s a fighter and it must have been awesome to have held her. Continued prayers for her weight gain and strength and for the joy you all deserve. :)

Holding her is definitely great!! I wish I could do it every day.
She has been doing good this weekend. The doctors are concerned because one of the labs that shows infection is starting to go up again. They are doing some more cultures and keeping her on the antibiotics for awhile longer. She has not had any heart rate drops or heart desats so that is good. And she is eating good. I guess we just have to pray she isn’t getting this nasty infection again.
I had my baby showers this weekend and she got SO much stuff. Her room is packed right now. She got more clothes than anything I think, LOL. It was great.

Dad is definitely going nuts over his little girl!! But that’s what we want, LOL. Right now her room is a disaster with bags tossed everywhere but once I get it all situated I will take a picture for ya’ll!! It is SO cute.
Miss Girl is going good this morning. Her white count was a little low so they may give her another transfusion this morning. Her lab is still going up so they have continued the antibiotics. She is still not acting sick as far as the heart rate drops, etc. Hopefully this is nothing!! Just keep praying that this is just that . . . NOTHING!!!!
Prayers continue for the little one. Glad to hear she’s eating again and yes, yes, yes, we will pray that the infection has not come back.

Kaydance is doing good this morning. They have stopped her feeds until for a little bit. She ended up not having to have a transfusion as her blood count was normal. They are doing some more labs this morning and getting another x-ray (which all have been normal so far). She now weighs 1 pound 11.7 ounces.
Other than that, nothing new! Hopefully her labs results will come back better!!!

Good morning! It does sound good and let’s pray that the lab results come back better and better. Wish they could keep feeding her. We don’t want a skinny model! LOL
