During his show last Wednesday, Rush Limbaugh was engaged in one of his typical rants. This rant was unremarkable and indistinguishable from his usual drivel, which has been steadily losing listeners for years until he crossed that line by calling our men and women in uniform who oppose the war in Iraq phony soldiers. This comment was so beyond the pale of decency that it cannot be left alone. And yet, he followed it up with denials and an attack on Congressman Jack Murtha, a 37-year active member of the Marine Corps. My Gawd did he actually say this?
And if Rush has been losing listeners for years, how come he's still on the air?

But last week, Rush Limbaugh went way over the line and while we respect his right to say anything he likes, his unpatriotic comments cannot be ignored.
Hey Harry what about the lies your pal Murtha says?
Reid & Murtha 2 demented old fools IMHO.

Please do a little research and find out what Rush really said and exactly who he was talking about.

Yeah, I was wondering whether Rush would comment on the “losing listeners” remark.
Has anyone called Reid’s office to find out what his sexretaries have to say about Reid’s blatant lies on the floor of the senate?

Reid is wrong on so many levels it boggles the mind. This part of his statement is an absolute falsehood...
“a 37-year active member of the Marine Corps”
Murtha’s time as an “active member” (poor terminology... there is no such thing... “active duty” is correct) was only a few years over all. He has been a member of the reserves but to state that he had extensive active duty (37 years) is a lie.
To: Rummyfan
Of course Rush did not say that. He called that proven phony soldier McDumbth a phony.
Reid is doing more than just spinning Rush’s comment. He is totally distorting them. Reid is either senile, lying, or both.

Congress has been losing support for years and the Democrats barely rate DOUBLE DIGITS in polling.
Harry has no room to talk.
