Hunt is a privately-held independent oil company based in Dallas, Texas. A third partner, Impulse Energy Corp., also has a stake in the project.
"We're very pleased to have the opportunity to be a part of these landmark events by actively participating in the establishment of the petroleum industry," Ray L. Hunt, Hunt's CEO, said in a statement.
Hunt, who is also on the board of Halliburton, has been a key fundraiser for President George W. Bush, who named him to the President's Foreign Intelligence Advisory Board.

I have been retired from journalism for some time now, but I must speak out at this time and find the internet to be a blessing indeed. For the most of September I have been following the U.S. cable news media's and waiting for someone to mention the deal that Hunt Oil from Texas signed with the Kurds (refer to the enclosed URL). These actions are simply illegal and terribly unethical. This was carried out in plain sight by the Bush administration and both democrats, republicans, CNN and FOX are silent about it. CBS has mentioned it in this online piece and the Keith Olberman show had a quick story but never repeated it. I have known for some time that this administration was involved in media censorship and intimidation tactics but this is a little to obvious to let go of. In fact, my heart is grieving daily. Not even the far left Liberals are discussing this (Jon Stewart, Stephen Colbert,Bill Maher etc...) are talking about this. As a journalist and an American who takes the Constitution seriously, I'm quite frankly horrified! I know enough about history and the back-room deals that morphed WWI into WWII and watch today as the very same forces work to create an economic cabal that is not interested in free speech or civil rights. How has this administration hypnotized the "conservative" movement to believe that this abhorrent corruption even remotely resembles "Christian Values"? My family members who voted for Bush have solved this dilemma by refusing to watch the news or read the news. My liberal family members eyes glaze over and the tone of hopelessness crosses their lips and the posture of slavery to injustice overcomes both polarities in this stalemate game we call diplomacy. I am begging you to search your hearts and come clean, both the democrats and republicans. I am begging you not to throw the most precious thing we all hold dear away, that would be freedom. Do not look away. Do not lose the Will to live. Do not forget our children. I am rightly intimidated now that the Constitution has been shredded and Habaeus Corpus has been suspended. But I do not wish to be silent. It is so spooky to see the spark of life leave my friends and loved ones when they fall prey to the emptiness of hopelessness. We are Americans, that has to stand for something, something like freedom and justice FOR ALL. Do not let Ray Hunt get away with this, do not let Dick Cheney and George Bush use you like so much chattel. Stop the bickering and wake up! The soul of our Nation is at stake and the heart of the world is bleeding. Please make sure the mainstream media must talk about this story, because it is icing on a cake made from no other ingredient but greed and heartlessness.

Hmmm... From your profile:
“I am distressed by the current war and all wars past. Aloha and Ahui Ho, Andora Noyes.”
And the website you list in your profile has this on the front page:
“panGasm
is the sound your cells generate when you have the desire to go on living
DESIRE IS THE ALCHEMY OF MAGIC. “
Interesting... Welcome to FR. I’ve a suspicion you won’t be here long. Your friends at DU will be greatly saddened.

Trolls should be dispatched quickly and with little fanfare, IMHO, despite the temptation to play with them.
Good job, admins!

And/or a no/yes.
What a preachy polemic. Worse than a vegan English professor, but without the spelling and grammar skills.
A journalist, my arse.

Well, as a former reporter and current English teacher myself, I do agree that the man should have been zotted for his inability to process English alone.

Like George Soros and Hillary are using you as chattel?
What qualified you as a “journalist”? Did you have a license to write? When you can show me that you were licensed to write, I’ll believe you.
What, you weren’t licensed? In other words, I’m just as qualified to be a journalist as were you? Then I AM A JOURNALIST! So, you must believe my words as much as I’m to believe your words, huh?
You are an idiot. Feel free to republish that, by the way.
