Sitting that close to Brit has rubbed off onto Juan over the years.

Wonder how long it will take Juan to become a conservative? I cannot imagine any rational decent person wanting to be associated with liberals. Juan, they lie to and about you, leave the dark side. Follow truth.

Well Juan welcome to the club. Your liberal communist buddies have been hurling lies at those of us on the right for years and you have been guilty of it yourself. How does it feel?

To be on the political right is the same as being subjected to thousands of killer bees. Every nut job group gets free air time via the MSM to inject their stinger into us. Your buddies on the left have been successful in insuring that the only protected free speech is liberal free speech.

To paraphrase something from your buddy B. Clinton, "put some ice on it"

I was flipping thru channels the other nite... watched Juan get angry on O’Reilly for the criticism... then tuned to MSNBC and CNN to see them continue this BS (baloney stuff).

The difference, of course, is that O’Reilly had more people watching than the sum total of the other 2 channels, probably by a factor of 2.

"Just like Bush's analogy about Nelson Mandela..."

I sent this nugget to media matters a few days ago when the Reuters story hit and they sent me back an auto generated reply thanking me for the tip...needless to say...crickets chirping.

I don't even care for O'Reilly's show. I never watch it unless Michelle Malkin appears on it.

Ditto for me, but I would also add AC to the list.

It's time for O'Reilly to start treating these "charges" with "benign neglect". The "charges" are out there, for those who want to believe them, as are the rebuttals by Juan Williams and BOR. At worst, the charges amounted to what Civil Rights phonies are prone to call "racial insensitivity".

By grovelling before the likes of Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson, O'Reilly makes it look as if there may actually have been some "fire" to all the smoke that the Media Matters crowd is truly to blow up the collective backside of the American public.

His supposed "surprise" that black people behave normally was a sarcastic commentary

Ah, so his remarks were sarcasm! This is the first time I'm hearing that, not having watched the actual show. The thing about sarcasm is, it doesn't always come across as sarcasm, especially in print. In a TV show, it should be plainly obvious. However, O'Reilly's drollness may have masked his sarcasm, letting this whole thing occur in the first place. And the "cherry pickers" must have lunged on his remarks as soon as they came out of his mouth, thinking woo-hoo, we'll have a field day with this one. Now I get it. They deliberately took his words and left out the sarcasm in an attempt to smear him.

Wow! Equally as interesting is Juan's defense of Rush:

"Just like Bush's analogy about Nelson Mandela and the Rush Limbaugh controversy, this is another effort to discredit someone by cherry-picking the transcript and stripping something of all context."

I don’t even care for O’Reilly’s show. I never watch it unless Michelle Malkin appears on it. I don’t like shoutfests on TV and haven’t gone out of my way to watch them in quite some time. That, however, doesn’t mean that O’Reilly should be pilloried for supposedly saying something almost completely opposite of what he actually said.

I do watch his show for ONE reason, he is right far more often than he is wrong...the best you can expect from ANYONE. Plus, the shout fests are usually with Geraldo and nemrods that I would yell at too. ALSO, MM has her share of "pique" with guests.

When he get’s it wrong, he very often pi$$es me off — big time...like his careless attack on FR. But he has done a lot of good in many areas.

CNN slandered Mr. Williams. Here’s to hoping their ratings tank even further down than they already are.

Juan was simply calling it as it is - this whole issue is a non-story. Sharpton dismissed it as soon as the controversy started. And while it must have killed him to do so, even Olbermann had the sense to leave this one alone. Errol Lewis had a good write up on the whole thing over the weekend: http://www.nydailynews.com/opinions/2007/09/30/2007-09-30_bill_oreilly_deserves_applause.html

I have no problems with the talking head liberals on Fox News Channel. They are presented as liberals and they offer their liberal opinions. And as liberal talking heads go, Juan Williams does not seem to have the mean spiritness exhibited by all the buffoons on MSNBC and CNN. My problem with Fox News is the talking heads they trot out as conservatives. I do not watch much Fox News because Fweddie Barnes and Bwilly Kristol are not representing the conservative views that I hold dear.
