Democratic presidential candidate John Edwards said if he wasnt elected president, the population of African-American males is likely to either wind up in prison or dead.
At an MTV/MySpace.com forum Thursday, Edwards responded to a question about inner-city kids partaking in violence by saying there was no silver bullet to fight the problem.
We start with the president of the United States saying to America, we cannot build enough prisons to solve this problem. And the idea that we can keep incarcerating and keep incarcerating pretty soon were not going to have a young African-American male population in America. Theyre all going to be in prison or dead. One of the two.

“The racial divide between black and Hispanic is growing when it comes to employment.”

During the past 60 years, every other minority has surpassed African Americans in their achievements. Hispanics will do the same.
African Americans need to get with the act or just quit bitching. Their future is in their hands and always has been.

Yeah, I even noticed that Drudge took it off his site, after only having it up for like not even a full day. Usually stuff like this he will leave up for the weekend or so.
I hope Talk Radio picks up on this. They should have picked up on it on Friday.

It doesn’t matter; it won’t hurt him in the Primaries. The Black vote will be divided between Hillary and BaraCACA.
He’s safe.

15% of African Americans in Ohio voted for George W. Bush giving him the victory in Ohio to win re-election. Cant forget that.
I do believe that the four (4) Top Tier Pubbies (Fred, Mitt, Rudy and McCain) made a serious mistake by not showing up to address the NAACP. Sad to say, we are becoming a nation of minorities. We can't ignore them forever and expect to keep winning elections.

They're Americans, not hyphenated Americans, as far as I can tell. I found Justice Clarence Thomas's recent statements on 60 Minutes about the culture of victimhood to be a breath of fresh air--much like Dr. Bill Cosby's a couple of years ago.
Very rich, white liberals have a Rushdie-esque fatwa against Thomas, however. They have no such enmity for fascist, so-called immigrants rights groups like La Raza, LULAC, or MALDEF.

I think you're right. Missing that Morgan State debate, however inconsequential it might have seemed, did make a statement. However, it also produced a--to quote the late Bob Ross--"happy accident." The lower tier candidates like Tancredo and Hunter did quite well, and voiced the principles and policies that a lot of us wish the preselected, presumptive nominees would stand behind.

Sad to say, we are becoming a nation of minorities.
And as a footnote, just who is going to be the "next big minority" once America has reached minority-majority status? You may want to work on your tan, ese.

This was posted by a black guy on a gold stock message board yesterday.
“These kind of messages make me mad as hell. First everyone conspires to keep the black person down by selling them false hope of financial security through gold stocks then they manipulate things to steal our hard won money now comments like this are thrown in our faces. What is next?

You’re right, what a nut-job. How about this. Instead of some out of touch white guy in far off DC trying to make every thing all better with some kind of nanny-state... Here’s a crazy, out of left field idea. Stop breaking the law and engaging in dangerous behaviors! Wow, then prison and wrongful death really aren’t a concern. You know, that whole personal accountability thing - that no-one else can straighten out your life, ah, you have to do that.
