Optimism would be appropriate. I know for many of you there can be no joy in Mudville until Fortress America is impregnable, or until your man is President, or whatever you use to justify your thread-jacking, but for the rest of us, take heart. There has been a plan all along, and it's working.

If Fred Thompson was President, thread-jacking would be made illegal.

...and we must remember that
breakng up or causing divisions (even fatal ones) among disparate terrorist organizations is only a
battle won.
Yes, we may cheer, but we must not stop.
Remember that the Axis Powers were defeated one by one, and even when we had defeated two-thirds of them, the hardest battle wes still ahead...
...though that, too, was cut short by our use of atomics.

The first requirement for success is to have a plan. The second requirement is to have the guts to implement it. We are fortunate, indeed, that President Bush is the right man in the right place at the right time.
I am reminded of how Ronald Reagan continued to press the Soviets, year after year, over the howling objections of all and sundry. The more desperate our enemy’s position, the harder our own Left Wing fought him, but Reagan pressed on to victory.
I don’t think even Reagan could have sustained this fight for so long with such resolution. President Bush has willingly sacrificed all the things normally of value to a politician in order to do the hard work that needs to be done. For that, we owe him a tremendous debt of gratitude.

If Fred Thompson was President, thread-jacking would be made illegal. When Fred is President, he'll encourage the states to make their own laws about thread-jacking. He won't impose top-down legislation :0)
