My personal feeling from reading posts of many Rudy supporters on other forums is that many feel that he is the only candidate who can beat Hillary and will be the strongest candidate in the WOT, and that moving the Republican party further to the center will get more votes from dems and independents who are more centrist.

What I was picking up from the ones here, was that they personally matched up with Rudy’s politics and social issues views.
If you scraped the surface off of the ones here, they truly hated social conservatives and religion.

I agree with what you said above, but the DEM debate this past Wednesday has changed things. After hearing for so long from the DEMS that the “war is lost”, and how they would “pull out now” if elected, we now know they won’t say they would be out of Iraq by 2013! The DEMS are now sounding like the Republicans on the war issue! Does this mean that by the time the election comes around, that the war issue will take a back seat and the immigration/border security will be the “big” issue? If so, the DEMS don’t have a prayer of winning with their stance on illegal immigration/border security!!

Because kissing the ass of your enemies has always been a successful tactic for victory, right?
