Bill Clinton slams 'smearing' Republicans
CNN ^ | September 27, 2007 | Alexander Mooney

WASHINGTON (CNN) — Former President Bill Clinton blasted Republicans Wednesday for their recent uproar over a MoveOn.org newspaper ad questioning Gen. David Petraeus' credibility, telling CNN's Anderson Cooper their "feigned outrage" was completely "disingenuous."

"This was classic bait and switch — focus on that as opposed to focusing on what's happened," the former president said.

Clinton also highlighted a string of past questionable campaign commercials targeting Democrats, and suggested Republicans are acting hypocritically.

I am still upset over this idiot pardoning Susan Rosenberg. I can imagine what the victims families feel. Let this former president try his best to get back into the whitehouse by any means. Even if he has to ride on the back of a female he cheats on and dislikes. Who would Hillary pardon if she became president? Abu Jamal? Probably.

Bring back dueling.

The only permanent solution for dishonorable political scum like Bubba, better known as the Sink Emperor.

There’s no doubt in my mind that this moron is a certifiable nut case. What I don’t understand is why he would go out on a limb to support a MoveOn.org ad that has gotten almost no positive traction at all from the public.

Clinton’s outrage at Chris Wallace during an interview a year ago resulted in Chris Wallace lobbing soft balls to Hillary in his interview of Hillary last week on Fox News Sunday. Bubba’s trying to intimidate the press to not bring up the MoveOn.org commercial during the general campaign next year between Hillary and the Republican nominee.

Brinkley got it that’s for sure - the rest of his colleagues were all lined up in the kool-aid line.

From the man whose campaign and administration invented the 24/7, all-attack-all-the-time media operation? That's comedy.

The Clintons can dish it out, but they can't take it. That's an understatement, I know, but I've always said, Bill Clinton has more gall than anybody I have ever heard.

What a snake...... why oh why did we ever have to see this scumbucket as US President for 8 years, and why can’t we send the two Arkansas grifters to their well-deserved political oblivion, once and for all??

There’s NO comparison with the ads pertaining to Jon Cary and Max Cleland. (1) they were lying Demagogue politicians running for office; General Petraeus is our top military commander with his life on the line in the middle of a war; (2) the ads about Jon Cary and Max Cleland were factual; (3) Jon Cary STILL has never released all his records as promised; (4) Democrats OBVIOUSLY do not “support the trooops” when they energetically work to embolden and strenghten our enemies and weaken our will to win in the middle of a WAR; (5) bug-eyed Bill Clinton is the last person on earth who should dare to babble about military subjects, especially about patriotism, honor, and valor..... matters about which the Clintons know less than NOTHING.

He’s antichrist, to be sure, but he doesn’t qualify as THE Antichrist (capital “A”).

The criticism must have hit a nerve (i.e., reinforcing that the Dems really do hate the military); otherwise, Bubba would not be trying to change the subject.

Watch it with the audio off - he’s well under control. That’s a much-practiced face. He’s very good at it.

And another thing: You’d think CNN would understand video aspect ratios, and be able to put a segment on their website that doesn’t make people look fatter than they are. Idiots.

No, Billy Jeff....”bait and switch” is what Hillary is trying to pull on U.S. voters, faking moderation and being a Christian when what they’ll get is a socialist who tolerates every kind of evil. Now THAT is bait and switch.
I happened to catch the part of this CNN interview when he went on a rant about the evil Republicans who ran an attack ad on Max Clelland when “he lost half his body in Viet Nam.” I wish someone would point out that Clelland was in his quarters, playing with a hand grenade when he damaged himself. Billy Jeff also went off on the Swift Boat vets. They really must have terrified the Dems...that ordinary citizens could get the truth past their msm lapdogs. He can no doubt see the future when Hillary is running next year and will be such a target-rich environment for similar groups. So in typical Dem style, he is trying to sabotage their credibility in advance. What a demon couple.

What a sick demented, deranged human being. I dream of a day when we are rid of CLINTONS forever, but I fear that’s long after I’m gone.

That was not Bill Clinton outraged. That was Bill Clinton pretending to be outraged. The problem is, he was pretending to be outraged over things ordinary people do not find outrageous at all.

The Democrats tried to shamelessly exploit Max Cleland's wartime injuries, pretending that he was wounded heroically in battle. They were called on it by the Republicans. Most normal people were offended by the Democrats' lies, and not at all offended by the Republican correction.

Similarly, John F. Kerry stood up before the Democrat National Convention and "reported for duty", pretending to be some kind of high-and-mighty war hero. The Republicans merely pointed out the fact that Kerry's war record was not all it was stacked up to be. Again, people were offended by the transparent Democrat manipulation, not by the Republican correction.

The only people outraged by these Republican responses are Democrats who resent anything that keeps them out of power.

We got Clinton in ‘92 because conservatives decided to punish George Bush 41 for not being Ronald Reagan.
Brilliant.

What’s really happening here is both Clintons have showed their support for the moveon ad. Bill is assuring moveon.org just in case there’s any question since Hillary has tried to dodge the issue. How in the world either of these anti-Americans get elected to anything in this country is beyond belief.

OK. Which FReeper dumped the itching powder into the IMPEACHED ones drawers????

He is really PO’ed, which I am happy to see again. He just had to bring up Cleland and jean f’**** kerry and the Swift Boat for Truth, which kerry never proved to be wrong.

william jefferson clinton is one despicable piece of debris.

Nothing new. He always behaves like a petulant child. He and his flunkies in the media know what rich hypocrisy this is for HIM and his squad of lefties to call the Republicans “smearing.” If it weren’t so infuriating you could almost laugh at the idiocy of it. Yet a majority of Americans just love him. We had peace and prosperity when he was president. Un huh. And those of us who warned that he was weakening America and we would one day pay a price for it were dismissed as hate mongers. Or they said you Republicans are just jealous because you’re not “getting any” like Clinton was. Nice attitude huh?

Many of us have disagreements with President Bush on a lot of issues but the contrast in character is stark. Compare clinton’s behavior with Bush’s and you can see which one is the better man. GWB has never unleashed a cheap tirade like clinton does. Unfortunately, like with Lincoln, it might take some time for history to finally see that Mr Bush, standing for his convictions in the face of tremendous pressure, did the right thing in the first decade of the 21st century.
