Pace repeats view that gay sex immoral

By ANNE FLAHERTY, Associated Press Writer 7 minutes ago

Gen. Peter Pace, chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, caused a stir at a Senate hearing Wednesday when he repeated his view that gay sex is immoral and should not be condoned by the military.

Pace, who retires next week, said he was seeking to clarify similar remarks he made in spring, which he said were misreported.

"Are there wonderful Americans who happen to be homosexual serving in the military? Yes," he told the Senate Appropriations Committee during a hearing focused on the Pentagon's 2008 war spending request.

"We need to be very precise then, about what I said wearing my stars and being very conscious of it," he added. "And that is, very simply, that we should respect those who want to serve the nation but not through the law of the land, condone activity that, in my upbringing, is counter to God's law."

Anti-war protesters sitting behind Pace jeered the four-star general's remarks with some shouting, "Bigot!" That led Committee Chairman Sen. Robert Byrd, D-W.Va., to abruptly adjourn the hearing and seal off the doors.

The hearing resumed about five minutes later in which Pace said he would be supportive of efforts to revisit the Pentagon's policy so long as it didn't violate his belief that sex should be restricted to a married heterosexual couple.

"I would be very willing and able and supportive" to changes to the policy "to continue to allow the homosexual community to contribute to the nation without condoning what I believe to be activity — whether it to be heterosexual or homosexual — that in my upbringing is not right," Pace said.

That Marine is one brave patriot. It takes guts to stand up and state what you believe, to assert God’s Law, despite the shrieking and wailing of the sodomites.

God Bless you General Pace!

It is immoral, too bad that we have reached a point where saying the truth is seen as something that needs to be punished. People who fail to acknowlegde the most basic truths usually have it in for people who do acknoledge it. With the politically correct educational systems come the good little socialists who accept this progressive way of thinking. Or so they are told that it is progressive, actually its just a code word for being evil. They think it’s progress to punish those who acknowledge the existance of good and evil.

I hope the General doesn’t enjoy Miller products.

So who gave these creeps floor passes to Congress? And BTW, how does saying somebody's behavior is immoral amount to "bigotry"? Being opposed to sin now makes you a bigot?

Hmmm...where were these folks when Achmedinejad declared that there are no homosexuals in Iran?

That led Committee Chairman Sen. Robert Byrd, D-W.Va., to abruptly adjourn the hearing and seal off the doors.

Of course, but not to protect anybody other than himself from having to hear shouts of a title he's been wearing for most of his bigoted life as a KKK member.

I would like to buy General and Mrs. Pace a couple big fat steaks, and say THANK YOU, General, for speaking as a REAL MAN, and as a REAL SOLDIER!

If General Pace is a bigot, based on his comments as reported, then I take my place with the General as a bigot.

"I would be very willing and able and supportive" to changes to the policy "to continue to allow the homosexual community to contribute to the nation without condoning what I believe to be activity — whether it to be heterosexual or homosexual — that in my upbringing is not right," Pace said.

Sounds like gen. Pace is willing, and able and supportive, to continue to allow the homosexual community to serve in the military.

Gen. Peter Pace is right. homosexuality is a DISORDER...much like those with addictive personalities. Homosexuality can be treated and homosexuals can get out of their bloody trap... too much contaminated information washing the brains of the immoral masses and they resist opposition so they can carry on.
Too bad, I’d say...
Homosexuality has done NOTHING for a civilized society... except destroy it. Yes, the homosexual agenda IS destroying our human race ... what a hellofa way to go.
By the by, I have NEVER hated a person with a disorder or an addictive personality.

Well, he is retiring next week so he’s not risking a whole lot. Liberals hate anyone involved with the military anyway, so he doesn’t have to worry about losing any friends.

God Bless Peter Pace. It’s too bad we don’t have 100 more just like him. There are damn few in the United States Senate who are fit to shine this man’s shoes.

I am not sure about the Gay Mafia, but Pace seems to be equally condemning homosexual sex as well as heterosexual sex outside of marriage.

I hope all the single men and women in our military were not offended.

"General: BEWARE the Gay Mafia. They are MORE POWERFUL than Al-Qaeda..."

Uhhhh... right. There isn't a pansy alive that Pace can't kick the snot out of.

Just kidding.

From the article:

Pace noted that the U.S. Military Code of Justice prohibits homosexual activity as well as adultery. Harkin said, "Well, then, maybe we should change that."

Harkin does not have the power to change the UCMJ. He does not realize that good order and discipline do not allow for ANY type of extramarital sexual activity - whether it be heterosexual or homosexual. He is such a miserable excuse for a human being!
