NEW YORK (CNNMoney.com) -- Toymaker RC2 Corp. on Wednesday announced another recall of 269,000 of its Thomas & Friends wooden railway toys because the surface paint on the products contains high levels of lead.

This is the second recall from RC2 (Charts) this year for the same brand of toys. The company recalled 1.5 million other Thomas & Friends railway toys in June due to excessive lead content found in the paint used on the toys.

The new recall from RC2 Corp. includes the All-Black Cargo Car, the Olive Green Sodor Cargo Box, the All Green Maple Tree Top and the Green Signal base.

Two months later, El Segundo, Calif.-based Mattel (Charts, Fortune 500), the world's largest toymaker and a company reputed to have one of the toughest safety standards in the industry, announced three recalls this summer for millions of its Chinese-made toys that were found to contain excessive levels of lead or posed a choking hazard.

China to eliminate lead paint in toy exports The latest recall from RC2 involves five toys from the Thomas & Friends wooden railway product line: the all-black cargo car, toad vehicle, olive green sodor cargo box and all-green maple tree top, as well as signal base accessories. Two hundred thousand of these were sold in the U.S., with the remainder sold outside the U.S.

Did you see that spineless whore president of Mattel toys who became rich peddling lead painted pieces of plastic crappola toys to kids who didn’t need them cowtowing to the Chinese government on state run TV? Predatory capitalists hiding behind the American flag ensconced in their gated communities in Boca Raton or Westchester, NY as they sell out their own country. From Kozlowski at Tyco to the other robber barons in multi-national America they are truly the enemy within. I heard that a Barbie doll could be made in America for 13 bucks over 10 bucks in China and create American jobs but the hedge fund scumbags as well as the godless traitors in the Metrosexual class think a boob job for their 3rd wife or that AWD 2008 Lexus SUV is more important than the future of manufacturing in America. I know, I know why make things when higher paying jobs like insurance salesman, web designers and slip and fall attorneys abound. We are becoming a country selling Mary Kay and Herbalife to each other. God forbid we need to arm for another war, all our kids will know how to do is file a lawsuit or blog on Lindsey Lohan.

Looks like more “design defects” by US toy designers. Those poor, innocent Chicom manufacturers, they can’t get a break.
