Actually, *that* Tesla did build an electric car under contract for Pierce-Arrow and General Electric.

The town of Brookhaven is finally gonna turn his Shoreham, LI laboratory into a museum. The project was funded about six months ago.
I live barely 30 minutes away, and I'll be one of the first in line when the museum opens!

“And not this Tesla...”
Nikolai Tesla was far advanced over the Tesla Motors group when it comes to powering automobiles. We don’t have it today thanks to Thomas Edison and the US Government. When his time comes it will revolutionize energy creation - eliminate the grid and eliminate the need for gas pumps.

NIkola Tesla—the most amazing scientist who ever lived.
Nikola Tesla, NOT Marconi, who invented the first radio;
...it was Tesla, NOT Edison, who devised the system of electric power distribution now used throughout the world.
...Tesla who invented the polyphase electric
motor, the bladeless steam turbine, and the radio-guided torpedo.
...it was Tesla who conceived ideas for a Star War type of
military shield in space.
