'No homosexuals in Iran': Ahmadinejad

NEW YORK (AFP) — Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad skirted a question about the treatment of homosexuals in Iran on Monday, saying in a speech at a top US university that there were no gays in Iran.
"In Iran we don't have homosexuals like in your country," Ahmadinejad said to howls and boos among the Columbia University audience.
"In Iran we do not have this phenomenon, I don't know who has told you that we have it," he said.
Ahmadinejad was challenged during his appearance on Amnesty International figures that suggested that 200 people had been executed in Iran so far this year, among them homosexuals.
"Don't you have capital punishment in the United States? You do too. In Iran there is capital punishment," he said.
Youre kidding, arent you? Buggery is rampant over there, the discouragement of casual relations bewtween unmarrieds and the high rate of polygamy encourages clandestine buggery and pedophiliac rape. They just dont want it out of the closet. Its more than rumor that many of the powerful mullahs in Iran have various "go-boys" to satisfy their carnal needs..

I was watching the local news tonight on KGO in San Francisco. What was hilarious was that they never once mentioned Ahmedinejad’s outrageous statement about there not being any gays in Iran anywhere in their newscast.
I could not believe they would omit such a revealing point that would make him a laughing stock to their audience, ie to the gay capital of America. Talk about putting blinders on....

It was sarcasm but to be precise, I do not have a problem with cultures that discourage homosexuality. We were once that way.
I consider it a perversion that once it gains widespread tolerance knows little bounds.
I don’t think folks should be executed for it but noether should their sexual perversion be granted recognition or privilege as an identity.
