The GOP needs to hammer Hillary on this because she voted NOT to condemn the ad!

Just 23% Approve of MoveOn.org Petraeus Ad
To moveon.org, that would be very encouraging news since that kine of approval is twice that of congress.

MN Senator Norm Coleman is taking out a full page ad in the local paper tomorrow, going after Al Franken and his silence on the MoveOn ad. Al has been a big fund raiser for MoveOn and that may be why he hasn’t made a peep since the ad came out......

The 23% are MoveOn members...

What’s really scary is that the Dems are now 47% moonbat. I would have thought the habitual drug use would have killed more of them by now.

A more honest headline would read:
“23% of Americans are Enemy Sympathizers”

Exactly. 58% disapproval is way too low. 23% approval means that we are dealing with a nation where almost 1/4 sympathize with the enemy.

Either they really aren't Republicans or the "Elvis Factor" is proven yet again.

This country has been polarized 30% hard left, 30% hard right and the rest in the middle since 2000. The middle is not undecided as is implied in some polls but also split about 50-50 with maybe a little lean to the left.
Hardcore values on both sides (like moreon.org ads) will win only their respective core groups leaving the middle in limbo and of course, the other pole in opposition.
The candidate that will win the 2008 election will be the one with a cross-over message that can tilt the middle 40% in their favor.
IMHO negative ads like this one will work against the groups that use them. Think about President Reagan's "Shining city on the hill" speech as an example of garnering that cross-over with a positive and uplifting message.

“It appears we have appointed our worst generals to command forces,
and our most gifted and brilliant to edit newspapers.
In fact, I discovered by reading newspapers that these editor/geniuses
plainly saw all my strategic defects from the start,
yet failed to inform me until it was too late.
Accordingly, I am readily willing to yield my command
to these obviously superior intellects, and I will, in turn,
do my best for the Cause by writing editorials - after the fact.”
- Robert E. Lee, 1863.

I love that quotation. Until I saw that, not too long ago, I had never know Lee had such a biting wit. Not that he was droll or boring, but that he was such a gentlemen’s gentlemen that he would never engage in that kind of lighter repartee.
To: JewishRighter
I too just came across the quote. It seemed apt.
