NEW YORK (CNN) -- Columbia University President Lee Bollinger excoriated Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad on Monday, going through a long list of documented actions and remarks by the firebrand Iranian leader and his government.
"Mr. President, you exhibit all the signs of a petty and cruel dictator," Bollinger said to applause from many of the 600 people in the room for a speech from the Iranian leader.
He cited the Iranian government's "brutal crackdown" on dissidents, public executions, executions of minors and other actions.
And Bollinger assailed Ahmadinejad's "denying" of the Holocaust as "ridiculous" and "dangerous propaganda." He called the Iranian leader either brazenly provocative "or astonishingly uneducated."
"The truth is that the Holocaust is the most documented event in human history," he said.
He said he doubted Ahmadinejad would show the intellectual courage to answer the questions before him.

I believe he is still under house-arrest and can not leave Iran.
I’m trying to search online about that topic, and can only find the same question, but no articles....

Since Mr. A. felt that he was insulted, does anyone else have a feeling that the president of Columbia U may have a bulls-eye on his back now?
Even though Mr. A. is a bad guy, its usually not a good idea to go around insulting the president of the most notoriously savage terrorist nation on Earth.
He might as well call mob bosss mother a whore. It might look good in the media, but its a sure fire way to end up cold dead.
Because this is the same university — funded largely with tax dollars, and required to comply with the First Amendment — that made sure Jim Gilchrist didn’t get to speak.
That will give you names to search on too.
Deal or NoDeal, when monkey-boy gets back I know some Columbia graduates that are going to pay for the Dean’s remarks.
Liberal elitists are two faced. Do as I say, not as I do.
that makes me feel ill.. How do we find info about the current and future status of that graduates?
I meant “the” graduates...
Honestly, I'm thinking it's more likely that the lefties will get him. Remember how they practically ran Larry Summers, the president of Harvard, out of town on a rail for failing to toe the politically correct line re: the feministas?
IMO, Mr. A (aka The Persian Pipsqueak) thinks that Americans are weaklings with all their "lofty dialogue" and "calls for diplomacy" kum bah yah, blah-blah-blah.
Bollinger and the Columbia mush brains in the audience just reinforced that view.
Saw a clip of this on Fox News. He got applause from the student/faculty audience. Then, and I couldn’t believe my ears, Ahmadinejad responded with something like “When we invite someone to speak, we let them speak before making insults” - to which the crowd cheered and clapped and whooped it up. It was shameful.
yes, the graduates. There was more than one being held over there.
That Columbia U. is a Communist institution has been a well known fact for over 50 years. But my goodness! We must be tolerant! /s
Caused quite a stir then as this Ahmadinejad outrage today.
Why did they black out the podium and backdrop for IwannaJihad?

Excellent catch Izzy Dunne! Perhaps to limit the photo ops using Columbia’s logo/name?
As I understand it, the US Military draws out plans for almost all possible scenarios anywhere in the world so if something does happen suddenly, they are at least somewhat prepared. I would imagine there are several plans mapped out should anything happen with Iraq.
Excellent catch Izzy Dunne! Perhaps to limit the photo ops using Columbia’s logo/name?
