Rudy's Statement on Ahmadinijad’s Visit
Daily Mail ^ | 9/24/07 | Don Surber

Posted on 09/24/2007 9:40:23 AM PDT by JoanVarga

“We will not allow a nuclear Iran. Period. We will work with our allies and use every tool at our disposal to stop Iran from becoming a nuclear power. That is not a threat. It’s a promise. Iran is the leading state-sponsor of terrorism, the host of Bin Laden’s son and other top al-Qaeda leaders, and the supplier of weapons being used to kill American soldiers in Iraq. His promises to destroy America and Israel should not, can not, and will not be ignored.

“It is a sad reflection on the United Nations that the General Assembly and Human Rights Council have ignored these actions and instead focused attention on demonizing the State of Israel.

Every time I hear Rudy talk tough, I picture the photo of hi dressed as a gay cabaret girl. How in the world is anyone supposed to take him seriously after that?

Talk is cheap, especially when you aren’t the President.

The fact of the matter is we won’t do a damn thing about Iran going nuclear.

Nope...we’ll wait til they kill a quarter of a million people in a blinding flash...then MAYBE we might take action.

The only question is where will the explosion take place....here in America, or in Tel Aviv.

So, the substance of his remarks have no place to be addressed?

You’re likely right, but he certainly knows how to use a bully pulpit while the whole world is watching. And to say it so straightforwardly is just refreshing.

My jury is still out on the Rep nominee, however.

By recognizing that he has a sense of humor and is comfortable enough with who he is to do something outrageous for fun, knowing full well that it’s no reflection whatsoever on the kind of person he really is.

I suppose you would have had fond memorys of the GIs who used to dress up as women in WW2 to put on plays? Or how about those who used to actually dance with each other when a band played that happened to pass through via the traveling USO shows?

For crumps sake, the man played in a skit for humor.

You can’t be serious. Have you ever seen pictures of WW II G.I.s dressed in drag performing shows? The next day, they put on their fatigues and killed Japanese and Germans.

Yes, let’s make it impossible to elect any Republican if they aren’t perfect in every way. Can you visually imagine Ahrnold as President? Brrr!

Rudy’s got enough bad qualities to make me not vote for him, Fred is still an unknown and he’s got the McCain-Feingold endorsement in the way. The others just don’t have enough “it” factor for me.

I haven’t made up my mind either, but I can say I won’t vote for Guiliani under any circumstances.

I respect him, thought he did great as mayor of NYC, and during the 9/11 attacks.

But I don’t trust him with 2nd amendment issues, and I will never support gay marriage under any circumstances. Which leads me to distrusting Guiliani on judicial nominees.

I don’t pay attention to pre-nomination rhetoric.

I truly believe that Rudy-haters, when faced with the prospect of staying home or voting third-party at the expense of ANOTHER CLINTON PRESIDENCY, will step up to the plate and deliver.
