Violent, dangerous, high maintenance psychotic children (and teens) are now dumped into the public schools, often with extremely demanding, uncooperative parents. It would surprise me to find this as the true scenerio here.
In such a case, the school may have no option. Teachers are not to be assaulted. It IS a criminal matter.

They don’t say what the little angel did until the second half of the article.
They spend the first half telling us what to think about the situation.
And here’s the money quote from the woman who spawned the little angel when asked about her child’s victim.
“She is a cold-hearted woman...she has made every teacher look bad,” said Cathy Darnell.”
How do you charge a six year old with any offense requiring intent. Autistic or not, six year old children are incapable of sufficiently evaluating the consequences of their actions. There are instances where uncontrollable children must be placed in institutions that are equipped to handle them, but the whole concept of trying to use the penal system to deal with a child fails to solve the problem and harms the system.
I am sickand tired of morons who believe that physical violence is okay and should be tolerated. Oh, the poor dears, they need to be understooooood.
Nice attitude you got there, Cathy. What about the poor rest of the children in the class, obviously now living in terror of young Nathan? Who, when he isn't screaming 24/7, is assaulting people from the rear?
It sounds like she finally reached the end of her rope. It probably wasn't the first time the kid had done it to her or someone else and maybe nobody ever does anything because he's "special". Maybe a trip to the woodshed isn't a bad idea. Clearly nothing else is working.
This is the result of the ridiculous, politically correct policy of “mainstreaming” special needs children into regular classrooms.
“She is no small person, she can defend herself,” said Cathy Darnell.
The problem with this statement is the lawsuit Mrs Darnell would file after the teacher “defend(s) herself.”
YEAH - sure she can defend herself - and then get crucified in the media and lose her job for "assaulting a disabled child".
This child apparently is dangerous and should not be in in the general population.
HE IS 6(SIX) YEARS OLD!
That is younger than the age of reason at 8 years old.
Criminal charges? What is wrong with you people?
Wow! My husband was a teacher’s aide in order to take care of issues like this.
I think a lot of people on this forum don’t understand autism.
I have an autistic child relative who acts out like this. I can tell you “tanning her hide” doesn’t make a drops worth of difference. She just doesn’t “get it”.
Mainstreaming is a crime against the rest of the students, but it is a phenomenon in step with all the rest of the PC crap where the victims, less able, etc. are getting their way over the majority. One more symptom of the demise of public educatiion (I almost wrote pubic education, corrected it, but now think it might be fairly descriptive.)

“Despite being autistic, Nathan is integrated with all kindergartners at Taylor Elementary.”
Big mistake. Retards and nutcases do NOT belong with normal kids.
Anyone who thinks that a 6-year old Autistic child should be prosecuted for this is a complete and utter idiot. Any prosecutor who would bring this to trial needs to find himself sitting on a street corner selling pencils or worse.
The “teacher” should lose her license to teach for trying to bring such charges in the first place.
But, that would only happen in a sane world.
Ruck
This absolutely trashes the first rule of holes.
Sheer Lunacy!!!!!!
