San Francisco police are investigating several non-fatal and apparently unrelated shootings and stabbings that occurred in the city over the weekend.
The first shooting was reported just before 5 a.m. Saturday near Church and Market streets, where one person was shot in the stomach, police said. The victim was transported to San Francisco General Hospital and treated for non life-threatening injuries.
Police said the suspect escaped on foot.
At 6 p.m. Saturday, a 15 year-old boy was stabbed in the eye and in his hands while standing at Excelsior Avenue and Lisbon Street in the Mission Terrace District, police reported. At least two suspects approached the boy, yelling then attacking him, police said.
The boy was taken to San Francisco General Hospital and was listed in stable condition, police said.
At 2:24 a.m. this morning, a man was shot in the leg while standing in the 500 block of Barneveld Avenue, near the city's Silver Terrace neighborhood, by an unknown suspect who fired into the crowd, police said.
The victim was also taken to San Francisco General Hospital. Police have no suspects in that shooting.
At 3 a.m. another man was shot in the leg while walking in the area of Loehr Street near Sunnydale Avenue, police reported. He heard a loud noise, felt a pain in his leg and then realized he was shot, police said.
Ten minutes later in the Tenderloin District, a male victim was stabbed in the neck during an argument. That victim was taken to San Francisco General Hospital and listed in stable condition, police said.

Usually no, but at 4-something a.m. sure.
The funny thing about that photo is that it’s taken at the entrance to City Hall. In broad daylight.
Not just on the streets. Look closely. It's the entrance to City Hall.
I lived in Phoenix for 20 years. I still own a house there. Never had a bit of trouble, and I worked in an iffy neighborhood for a lot of that time. My mom lives there today in a mostly Mexican part of town.
Do you have a source for those numbers?
They're obviously employees of the mayor's office.
40 to 60 percent?
Glad to hear those foreigners have been brought up with the same values proportionately.
I used to live there. It is a horrible place to live. Lots of drugs and perverts.
A friend of mine was a California state senator. His son was shot and murdered during a robbery in S.F. It certainly wasn't in the Tenderloin...
The whole city is a pressure cooker. Most of the homosexuals are emotionally unbalanced and there is a lot of "domestic" violence between them that goes unreported. Couple that with the proliferation of drug abuse, alcoholism, illegals, gangs, prostitution, drag queens using female hormones, and lots of general animosity for the police, anything can happen.
The city is also a Mecca for dopers. That is why property crimes are so high.
East North Avenue?
I see you are from Oregon, I hope you aren't referring to Milwaukie OR?
They are based on the 2005 FBI Crime Statistics. Go there and see for yourself. In addition, Phoenix has not only a higher crime rate than SF, but also has higher crime per capita than LA.
I lived in Milwaukee, WI for a time.
Remember North Avenue and other places quite well...
The longest bridge in the world is the 35th street bridge (a local joke).
Never heard that one before care to explain?
35th street bridge goes from Poland to Africa...
That list has Mission, Bayview/Hunters Point, Visitacion Valley, and the Tenderloin over and over again. Not exactly “family” neighborhoods. Same rule applies as in every other city - stay away from majority black neighborhoods and any other block with a housing project on it and your violent crime risk goes down to near zero.
I remember that. Potrero Hill. The perp was a crackhead from the same projects up there that produced O.J.
Church and Market is where the hood meets the homo.
:^)
Please tell me you're kidding.
