I attended a special preview at the Nimitz Museum of the Pacific War in Fredericksberg, Texas, two weeks ago. I was impressed and moved by what I saw and by what I heard during the following panel discussion, which included a Latino.

Were the perspectives of Italian/German/Norwegian/Franco/Scottish/Irish...etc. Americans specifically taken into consideration?

So a new class of professional whiners has emerged, with a fresh deck of victim cards. Looks like they’ve learned by studying CAIR’s playbook. Pretty sad.

"There is no room in this country for hyphenated Americanism.
Americanism is a matter of the spirit and of the soul. Our allegiance must be purely to the United States.
The one absolutely certain way of bringing this nation to ruin, of preventing all possibility of its continuing to be a nation at all, would be to permit it to become a tangle of squabbling nationalities. ..." Teddy Roosevelt

He at least pays his dues with them.
I suspect this was a big oh-oh for him and he will be doing alot of crawfishing (hopefully all the way to the bank.)

The major difference between then and now is during WWII “Latinos” considered themselves “Americans.”

Further evidence of my contention that whatever you do, somebody, somewhere is going to have a problem with it.

This is the nation's story..."
That's right, Gilberto. The nation's. Not each and every group that chooses to separate itself from the nation by identifying with special groups that love to proclaim their alleged victim hood. The chip on your shoulder is poison.

But that wasn't enough in the eyes of local Hispanic veteran and community groups
It's never enough ... doesn't matter what minority group is whining, it's just never enough.
Hey, if you don't like the country - leave, you ungrateful SOBs!

This country is getting more “skin color” concise by the day. The crap about being a color blind country is just that crap. The minorities aren’t interested in a color blind society because there’s not enough benefits in it for them !!!

I’m tired of this ‘hispanic’ community pissing and moaning about EVERYTHING!
Check out the ‘hispanic’ medal of honor winners, etc. NOT many compared to other ‘immigrant’ groups.

Further evidence of my contention that whatever you do, somebody, somewhere is going to have a problem with it. Exactly.
I was disappointed that a Texas town wasn't among those spotlighted. An entire National Guard infantry division, the 36th, was mobilized in a single day from 88 different towns and cities for the war. Two of the regiments were decimated and rendered ineffective by Mark Clark's Rapido River fiasco in Italy.
But, from what little I saw in the preview, Burns did a very good job with this. Guess I and everybody else will need to wait to the end of the series to find out how good a job he did do.

CAIR’s playbook is nothing but the NAACP playbook with a different cover.
