Nearly all of these wannabes are singing: “I saw the light, I saw the light.”
They are running from their records and flipflopping worse than a school of mackerels at a convention on dry land.

If he means, he'll become a pro-gun zealot.
If not, he'll just talk the talk.

barf! I wish someone would ask him if he now thinks it is o.k. for qualified airline passengers to have guns on board the aircraft. That is the only thing that could have stopped the 9/11 attacks. If he doesn’t think so, then the attacks have not changed his views.

Why won’t he tell someone that the sight of an aborted baby made him change his views.
Far more of them murdered each year than died on 911.

Actually, I'm sure the events of 9/11 did alter Rudy's thinking on the subject:
"Hey, I'm popular again! Maybe I COULD run for President after all!
I better start acting like I'm NOT a gun grabber!"
To: neverdem
I am so confused!!!! NOT!!! Run! Fred! Run!
To: neverdem
I guess I could buy that Rudy’s position might be different from what it was before 9/11. But he’s still a liberal in conservatives clothing.

It is possible, just possible, that a big city guy might find out that all guns aren't used by thugs and gangsters. That is an annoyance I find in many city slickers.
Of course it is also possible that some guy may be running for President and is talking out of his as.....!

I like the analogy.
Rudy and Thompson are my favorites right now. I like what Fred had to say to the NRA, and I like how Rudy cleaned up New York. His book on leadership is also excellent.
Two good candidates! Anything - and I mean anything - is better than Mrs. Bill Clinton.

Rudy seems to really WANT to be president more now than he used to. Early in his campaign, he was speaking more or less from the heart and not pandering nearly as much. It seems like, with his poll numbers so high he’s starting to think “holy cow, I might actually have a chance to win this thing” so he’s ratcheting the pandering up several notches.

So the Bill of Rights is subjet to whatever events may have transpired and hows those events have changed our views. Man, that is scarey stuff which turns the BOR into a house of cards. Oh yeah, and Guliani is shameless.
