Y'all going to be out the Friday after Thanksgiving?

We live in GA but we will be in northern Virginia that weekend, and if we can get away from the in-laws on Friday we would be able to come up, 'do' the Mall and the Smithsonian, and touch base with y'all. How late does the Metro run down to Franconia/Springfield?

Thanks to all of you for finding the time and energy to show the troops that there are Americans who respect them and are grateful for what they do.

My mother just passed away today...we had been expecting her to pass on this week sometime, and tough woman that she was, she just hung on.

My two brothers, my nephew and I will be traveling to Washington DC sometime in the next two months to bury her remains beside my father, who has been in Arlington since 2000.

I have suggested to all of them that we join the DC Chapter outside Walter Reed on Friday night when we do come down...and they readily agreed. I hope to see all of you again when we do.

Well, that's exactly what I am doing from the left coast....gazing with envy at the finest bunch of patriots I know. I do wish I could have been there. Thank you, each and every one of you, for standing firm and proud in support of our courageous military and their mission.

Enterprise, jtill and I just ordered headlamps for a small unit in Baghdad that is training Iraqi National police.

Our soldiers are giving their all for us, and REAL support, not just phony words by the anti-war crowd, is the least we can do.
