Interesting that they use "unrelated". Considering this bunch of unrest is about race, were the eyewitnesses all of European descent, or were there some of African (or other) descent?
Maybe, as with Scott Peterson, the case should be sent far away, in this case maybe to the North or West, just to reduce the chance that people (you may refer to them as racebaiters--that term can go both ways) will accuse the decision of being racist.
The Jena six's and the other African descendants' side was generally taken in this post. Already there are plenty of defenders here for the European descendants' side, and highly anticipate that number to grow. Including the many points being made maybe unfairly about them would be redundant.

Unreported is the fact that government schools are THE MOST racially and economically segregated institutions in America! There is nothing of this magnitude and extent anywhere else in our society.
Studies have repeatedly shown that private schools are not only more integrated, but that once in the school, the children are far, far more likely to be socially integrated. This is evidenced by the friends that the students report having, and by racial mixing seen in places such as the lunchroom.
Our government schools are Marxist indoctrination camps that preach racial, sexual, and class conflict. Well,,,,if students get daily doses of this, is it any wonder they are segregated and hostile? Besides this, the fact that parents must buy or rent in order to attend a government school ( usually) contributes to the government sponsored ( and paid for) racial and economic segregation and indoctrination.
I thought it was printed at the bottom of my post that I got this from snopes.com - I didn’t write it. I’m sorry it didn’t show up. There’s more written on it: http://www.snopes.com/politics/crime/jena6.asp
Yes, the jury pool administrator would have that information. Perhaps the defendants' attorney or attorneys should answer that question, since it's up to them to protect their clients during the voir dire process. As a former resident of Louisiana, I've seen many of those parish courthouses firsthand. I dare say that it's nigh impossible to pull an all-white petit jury pool in central Louisiana.
