WASHINGTON, DC Today, Senator Edward M. Kennedy, Chairman of the Health, Education, Labor and Pensions Committee, released the following statement in response to President Bushs threat to veto the State Childrens Health Insurance Program.
This is a cruel threat to needy children and I urge the President to reconsider. Its outrageous that there are nearly 9 million uninsured children in America and over 600,000 more since 2005. This Administration has failed on healthcare and our children are paying the price. Congress has been working in a bipartisan way to get a Childrens Health Insurance Program bill that will make quality health care available to children of working families. This bill will allow children to get the quality healthcare they deserve, and should be signed into law before the program expires next week. After watching hundreds of thousands of children lose their health coverage on his watch, it's incomprehensible that President Bush would veto the bill that fixes the problem. This is a cruel threat to needy children and I urge the President to reconsider."
You know, here in Phoenix, we lost the last 5 of 7 cops deaths to illegals killing them. Their kids are the ones that we wind up paying for with this lousy bill - no thanks. When first married we didn’t have alot of money, so we got hospital insurance only for our children and paid cash for our doctor visits...It’s called FREEDOM OF CHOICE and I am tired of HillaryCare, KennedyCare, no child left behind care, etc. This gov’t is WAY too big and its time to JUST SAY NO!
Hey Ted!
You fund it.
My husband and I had to find a way to pay for the healthcare of our 3 kids.
Since when was anyone entitled to free healthcare?
We have a hard time paying for our own now. This is what is wrong with the USA.
As for the illegals, they need to be sent home to ask the Mexican people to figure out healthcare for Mexican citizens.
Why is it that these assh*les like Teddy think that people that are already are having a tough time making it should pay for people that are here illegally or those that refuse to work?
Is castro still alive,I think someone is propping up teddy.
Well, now that the great drunk (and drunken driver) has spoken, who are we minions to second guess his opinion?? /s
BAM!!!Post of the day baby!
President Bush, please remind me again why you ever thought a “new tone” would be possible with the felonious gasbag from Chappaquiddick???
Hey Ted, how’s Mary Jo doing? Oh, that’s right....
Regarding most of Bush’s domestic agenda, I’ve never had many happy thoughts. Yet one of my supreme nightmares has folks telling me I see life the same way as that fat drunken blob from Massachusetts.
Now if I can just find a copy of the first, and only, interview that he gave on the subject, to the Readers Digest, my files will be complete again.
I remember the interview as another pack-of-lies, but without a script .................. FRegards
LOL!
Perfect!
