WHY DEMOCRATS JUST ABSOLUTELY HATE BEING CALLED .....
I've always being one who likes to get under the skin of the collective left, and glorioski, have I found a way to rattle Democrats. You just refer to their wonderful party as the Democrat Party! Lordy, does this put a burr in their thongs.
Well .. now I think I've found out why! A buddy of mine at CNN (who, for obvious reasons, shall remain unnamed) provided me with some interesting information. Joseph J. Ellis wrote a book called "Founding Brothers, The Revolutionary Generation." I ordered my copy this morning. One of the Amazon.com reviews for this book says "This book is really unique in that it gives a really interesting perspective not only on the men [our founding fathers] , but the dynamic between them." Now in that book by this renowned historian you will find some tasty information on the origination of the word "democrat." Many times I've told you that our founding fathers were none too fond of the idea of democracy, or, as they viewed it, mob rule. Here's the quote:
"... the term "democrat" originated as an epithet and referred to 'one who panders to the crude and mindless whims of the masses.'" Don't you love it? Could anything better define today's Democrat Party? Get with the program folks. It's the Democrat, not the "Democratic" Party.

I go on line with my local library...look it up...if they’ve got it at another library...I order it...when it comes in they email me and I go pick it up. There are so many great books out there to read...I’d be spending lots of $$$’s to read them all. So instead I use the library...that’s free. ;o)
They also got the MSM to change their representation on voting maps from Red to Blue. It’s only been this way for the last couple elections and it is only NOW that they call states “Red” or “Blue”.
But we aren’t supposed to remember these things.
I never call them “democratic” because I know they think their association with that word means something admirable. Besides, survey says their core values are anything but “democratic”, and they have a very undemocratic way of imposing those “values”.
Democrats, Democratic... either way you look at it, they are all just RATS!
So they don’t like being called “Democrats”? OK, I’ll just call them Dumocraps.
I’ve heard this before - it drives the moonbats CRAZY when President Bush refers to the “Democrat” Party. I wish he’d do it more often
My BIG LIB cousins also flip mout if i do not say the “Democratic Party”.
I tell them that when they start idetifying themselves politically with “I am a Democratic, not a Republican”, I may consider it.
Those old guys were kinda smart.Absolutely perfect description.
sorry for typo...they flip out...not flip mout.
Yes. I always thought that there was something dishonest and shifty in coloring the red state blue, and the blue states red. I believe that the New York Slimes started that.
The Democrat Party is deffinitely the red one, and the Republicans the blue. Red generally means leftist.
Good example
Wow. No wonder they’ve gotten so upset all these years when I’ve called them DemocRats. Nice to know.
"Democrat" 'one who's idealism is fueled by ignorance and unanchored by reality'
Look up the word sinister.
Oh,
I thought you meant democrats “flip-mount”.
“This is great. I gotta get the book. Amazon has it.”
I strongly urge you to do so. I bought it about a year ago and it’s really informative and just a good read. Each chapter is a story unto itself.
However all I got was a dirty look when I asked "So if there is a story about a subject on which both parties agree, it should read "Republicans and Democratics both agree..."".
They’d flip mout too if they could.;-)
One would expect an organization’s name would be a noun (something) rather than an adjective (a mere modifier of somethin).
I love your tagline. It’s one of the best I’ve seen.
Maybe you could add “and the “c” stands for communist.
