I guess it's hard to accept that "the chickens have come home to roost", "turnabout's fair play", "what goes around comes around", "you reap what you sow", "what's sauce for the goose is sauce for the gander",etc.!

It looks like the Republicans may actually now be in control. That sure is ironic, that the minority beats a simple majority, that only a super majority can beat a minority!

Enough with all the cliches!

I beleive the "stealth" DREAM ACT" (aka, Amnesty) is going to try to be attached to an appropriations bill. This one is trickier (the DREAM ACT amendment), as too many Republicans are on the side of the illegals, and it COULD pass if it's kept quiet.

If that happens, we will be stuck with a Socialist Congress for the next 40 years, as NONE of the Republicans who have seats at risk will get re-elected if they vote for Amnesty, no matter how stealthy.

Apparently that 11% approval rating was still a bit high for Crooked Harry’s liking??

Pray for W and Our Troops

After that fiasco today, Congress’ Approval Rating may set a new low, dipping into the single digits !

“[Jim Webb’s] head looks like a big zit”

Heh, heh!

That is probably his high school nickname, “ZIT!”

The Dems still get their brownie points with the Moveon crowd, though, even though they lost. Sometimes I think they are just as sane as we are and do not want to weaken our military, but are pretending to stand up to the administration to win elections.

Charles Krauthammer said that this is going to force the Democrats to go to an out and out oppositional strategy to the president, which they know they won’t win.

Watch them all go berserk moonbat, throwing their base promises of red meat...

It’s been fun, watching the moonbats salivate, but getting no dinner.

Collins and Snowe are a disgrace to the Republican Party. The only thing they’re good for is to keep the Republican numbers up in the Senate.

“Collins and Snowe are a disgrace to the Republican Party. The only thing they’re good for is to keep the Republican numbers up in the Senate.”

That is exactly right. They ARE good for that. They do vote with the GOP on most issues, especially confirmations of the USSC. If they were Democrats, they would have voted against Alito and Roberts.

Really? I have followed their votes for a loooonnnnngggggg time and I didn't think that Collins and Snowe EVER voted WITH the republicans.

Are all of these pretend Republicans:
Collins
Coleman
Hagel (Of course, Hagel isn’t running.)
Smith
Snowe
Sununu
running for reelection in 2008? If so, what can be done to show our displeasure? Can loyal (to America and the Party) primary challengers be run against them? There need to be consequences for their treachery.

WOOO-HOOOO! Defeated again! Take that Harry.

The amnesty bill and the cut and run strategy have been defeated several times, but they keep coming back...why do politicians keep forcing this crap when clearly the American people don’t want it and even Congress itself keeps voting against it?! Man politicians are annoying...

I am sure they will blame this defeat on hanging chads.
