Pray this is only a fishing expidition because, if not, it isn't pretty for Duncan Hunter. I have faith he is innocent, but it will be bad PR none the less.

Whoever is guilty, regardless of party affiliation, needs to go to prison.

I don’t care who it is. Enough of this crap.

People who swear an oath, like congress-critters, and then violate that oath for other interests are, IMHO, guilty of TREASON and should be punished as such.

Exactly. But, if this is a fishing and smear campaign ala DeLay, then the prosecutor needs to sit in a cell for abuse of process. Enough of that crap, as well

Others who received subpoenas are former House Speaker Dennis Hastert, R-Ill.; California Republicans John Doolittle, Jerry Lewis, Duncan Hunter and Darrell Issa; Roy Blunt, R-Mo.; Jerry Weller, R-Ill.; Silvestre Reyes, D-Texas; Ike Skelton, D-Mo.; John Murtha, D-Pa.; Republicans Peter Hoekstra and Joe Knollenberg, of Michigan. Notice how the writer points out all the Republicans.

Bad times for the barely-alive Duncan Hunter campaign.

Too bad - I agree with the guy on most issues.

Interesting names on the list, including Jack Murtha and Duncan Hunter, to name a few.

I’ve grown to admire and respect Duncan Hunter very much over the last year but I must admit when I first heard about his run I wondered if he wasn’t trying to “hide in the light” if you know what I mean.

I think we also need to take into account we don’t know what the subpoena is for. It could be that some of these congressmen were looking into this case themselves and gathered information. I would like to find more info.

It’s basically a list of the most important congressmen in the defense and intelligence committees from the last congress.

Nice to see that the Seattle Times felt the need to spell out who the republicans were while seeing fit to just quietly list the democrats.

I hate the press.

Others who received subpoenas are former House Speaker Dennis Hastert, R-Ill

No wonder he already announced his resignation and retirement.

I saw Democrats names first. I don’t know if you are correct on this one. They put party affiliation on all the congressman. If they are guilty, I hope that they all are punished and I don’t care what the party.

One might instead wonder why indeed there are any Republicans on the list in the first place.

This couldn’t possibly be a Rat ploy to deflect attention away from Hillary and Hsu, could it?
