HOWELL - Two Howell elementary school boys - ages 9 and 11 - have been charged as juveniles with criminal sexual conduct for allegedly making a 7-year-old boy perform oral sex while on a school bus in May.
The father of the 11-year-old boy, however, said his son merely witnessed the attacks and was himself a victim of a similar attempted sexual assault by the 9-year-old. He questioned the safety of students on Howell buses
"We take it for granted our children are safe," the 38-year-old father said. "We're worried about predators coming up to the bus stop, not being on the bus. How can you think our children are safe? The school should be accountable for what happens on the bus."
Although the events reportedly happened at the end of the school year, Superintendent Chuck Breiner said he just learned of the alleged sexual assaults on Monday when the 11-year-old boy's father called him to ask why his son was questioned by the school principal and a police officer without his knowledge.
Police reports indicate that the 7-year-old reported that on several occasions he was forced to perform a sex act on the 9-year-old boy. The incidents are alleged to have taken place toward the end of the after-school bus route when there were few students on the bus.
School buses have cameras but a video tape is inconclusive, said Breiner.
Juvenile court records indicate the 9- and 11-year-old boys are each charged with first- and second-degree criminal sexual conduct.
If convicted as charged, both boys also would have to register as sex offenders for life.
To use an old term, acting adult would be squaresville. In truth, these sitcoms can be very destructive. Young viewers get a completely skewed message. Reasoned roles are just destroyed in the process.
There is one show on today that shows men in their natural setting. But in the interest of humor, even that is exagerated to the point of absurdity.
Two and a Half Men is the only show that doesn’t show men neutered to the point of unicdom, at least in the sit-com setting.
The sad thing is that there is a young kid in the show. While this leads to some incredibly funny material, the subject matter is way over his head. There are times when it borders on abuse IMO.
The men are portrayed as if they are mentally 18 to 22, but their bodies and life situations are late thirties to early forties. Don’t get me wrong, some of the situations are truly accurate, but others do stretch credibility a bit.
While it sounds like I’m panning this show, I think it is worth watching if you are an adult. I think some of it would offend people and other parts would have them rolling on the floor. As adults, I think people can sort it all out and enjoy the show.
Kids? No...
This sort of thing happened in a neighboring community a few years ago. It never made it past the local news, though.

And,,,I bet this a ¨good¨ school in a ¨good¨ neighborhood.
If you imprison children 9 months of a years, 8 hours a day, is it any wonder that they act like prisoners? And any child who rebels and refuses to cooperate with the police state imprisonment ( mis-named “Education” ) is hauled before judges and sometimes sent to REAL prison.
Honestly,,,,with the daily reports of abuse by teachers and school staff, and the poorly reported incidence of child on child abuse, why would any rational parent institutionalize their child for his education?
Oh...yeah! I forgot this never happens in a government defender´s blue ribbon school. Their children have never witnessed or personally experienced the physical, emotional, and sexual children inflict on each other.
“If you imprison children 9 months of a years, 8 hours a day, is it any wonder that they act like prisoners?”
That is an excellent question. And I think that we already know the answer.

Yep! This is definitely the fault of the “ Media”. ( sarc)
It couldn´t possibly be due to the horrendous lack of supervision on government school buses. Gee! Putting an adult on the back of the bus would mean less money for the government school teacher mafia.
Maybe if another adult were riding the buses we wouldn´t see 17,000 children a year sent to hospital emergency rooms for school bus injuries.
Is that the incident rate? Wow.
I can remember seeing kids skoot into the bar on the back of the seat in front of them.
Back in my day, there might have been a bully, but generally the kids behaved if the driver told them to.
These days kids don’t even mind when mom and dad tell them to.
Now that moms and dads spare the rod, the liitle munchkins are free to kill each other. Ahhhhh... much better.
Yes I did, I pulled my child out of public school.

A six pack isn't an inherently sexual thing. In my day he probably would have shown her his biceps.
And they learned it all............at school!!
How could they possibly know until puberty, if they ever “know” at all. It’s a b-e-h-a-v-i-o-r!! Kids used to be, and even now should be allowed to be, asexual till puberty. Way too much sex pushed on kids from every avenue, especially those that used to be the champions of protecting their innocence!
Those ads are a big reason tv is seldom on in our house.
Let's be fair. The driver was more than likely driving at the time and even the video tape is inconclusive. This behavior wasn't out in the open and easy to catch.
“I certainly think that kids have access to watching South Park, and some episodes have been very explicit about decribing homosexual acts. I dont think we can hold them blameless, even if the Rainforest episode was right on target.”
In a case like that I would blame the parents. No child that age should be watching South Park.
Or is this just mindless hyperbole that you really didn't think through?
For anyone that may be interested in how this affects them at school and what the teachers think of it? Well, I think the teacher thinks it's pretty okay as they are home schooled.
This is not the forum for it, but getting roughed up for my 75 cents every day was nothing compared to what the teachers did.
Everybody homeschools, right? or you are not in the US?
Everybody homeschools, right? or you are not in the US?
Guess what? This kind of stuff also happens in church schools and has been for years..........I should know because it was happening in my Catholic elementary school when I attended, and I graduated 8th grade in 1974.
Get off your "government" school high horse -- it can happen anywhere........and it is nothing new.
