Don’t get so excited. The charges were dropped because he had been granted immunity.

That only leaves a small handful of Marines left to face charges, maybe 3 or even down to two, last time I checked it was down around 3.
Murtha’s reckoning is coming closer by the day, he slandered a whole company of marines as well as a platoon of marines..

I suspect that we still have a gang of crooked leftist lawyers and red-faced officers who are bound and determined to nail somebody.
Probably the let this captain off in hopes that he will play their game and rat on his men. Let’s hope he doesn’t.
When an injustice like this goes down, the people responsible really, really hate to admit that they were wrong.

While they're at it, they should ring up "Muerte" Murtha and make sure he's gettin' his, too.

I very much hope that Captain Lucas McConnell has strung them along and will now disappoint them.

The Marines say that Captain Lucas McConnell of Napa was granted immunity to speak with authorities about the deaths, which occurred in November 2005. Let's hope that he tells the Prosecution just what they don't want to hear; "No Crime was Committed!" and then says; "Oh,.. by the way, I'm telling the Defense too!"

Probably the let this captain off in hopes that he will play their game and rat on his men. They weren't "his" men. He was the battalion JAG officer. All he was charged with was essentially failing to report the incident up the chain. He proved that he did everything correctly in the matter and the charges were thus dropped.
IMHO, his prosecution was incidental to the entire Haditha event.
