Who or what is Jane’s magazine? If it’s the rag I’m thinking of that publishes in America, frankly I’m very skeptical.

Maybe somebody can speak to the credibility of this original source.

“According to the report, cited by Channel 10, the joint Syrian-Iranian team was attempting to mount a chemical warhead on a scud missile when the explosion occurred, spreading lethal chemical agents, including sarin nerve gas. “

So if Iran and Syria can cooperate on WMDs and we have proof in the form of this nasty accident, it is even more likely Syria and Iraq were cooperating in WMDs.

Syria and Iraq were both Baathist and shared a border. Syria is where a bunch of Iraqi WMDs went. All that truck traffic to Syria from Iraq before the war wasn't Uday's porn collection.

Knowing that Iran and Syria are in bed together should be all the excuse Israel needs to launch a few preemptive strikes of their own. Why should Israel wait until they are able to fire missiles that could wipe them out. I think the US should help them, because you KNOW they will do the same thing to us as soon as they can smuggle some across the border.

What am I saying. There is no need to smuggle them. They can just walk the over the border, and as soon as we are forced to allow Mexican trucks come into the US, they'll be able to drive them over the border.

Syria began developing chemical weapons in 1973, just before the Yom Kipper War. Global Security.org cites the country as having one of the most advanced chemical weapons programs in the Middle East.

Syria and Saddam's Iraq were both led by the Ba'ath Party. They share the same border. Iraq has oil and Syria doesn't.

What's the odds that they didn't cooperate during the so-called "inspections" for WMDs in Iraq?
