DES MOINES, Iowa - Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton unveiled Monday a $110 billion-a-year plan to insure every American -- and her second foray into health care reform elicited the same fusillade of criticism as "Hillarycare" did 14 years ago.
.....[snip].......
Clinton would force enrollment of young, healthy people, ages 18 to 30, who often forego insurance because they believe they will never get sick. Clinton said their participation was essential because premiums from healthy patients offset higher costs incurred by older patients.
Clinton adviser Laurie Rubiner said she would leave it to Congress to come up with sanctions for people who failed to comply, but suggested one penalty could be the loss of the standard deduction on their income tax filings......"

If Hillary is elected to the White House, I have a plan B: http://www.livinginthephilippines.com
Corporations will drop private health care like a hot potato, and the number of people the gov’t will cover will overwhelm the system.
Prepare to wait in line for your shots.
“It takes a village to raise a child....the village is the Fed. government and we’re the children.” P. J. O’Rourke.
This is the issue that has the potential to hurt her worst because it affects everybody and is compulsory. I hope all candidates on both sides beat her without mercy on this.
Don’t do that. No one likes a quitter.
Nice little catch there
No Dem in their right mind will stand up to Hillary.
Nice pipe-dream, but I'd rather stay & fight this witch to the bitter end.
EXACTLY!!
She said “Good enough for Congress, good enough for America”. Let’s try overhauling the Social Security system and putting America onto the same retirement system as Federal Employees, first. Same pool of cash. No, Hillary?
I’ve seen a lot of comments today by people claiming they’re going to move to another country if ol’ Hillsy is elected. I find them reminiscent of comments Alec Baldwin and other Hollywood types made saying they’d move if Bush were elected. It was offensive when they said they’d abandon their country because they didn’t like the results of an election, and it’s just as offensive when FReepers say they’ll abandon our nation if they don’t get their way in an election. Apparently, America doesn’t mean much to you if you’d just leave that easily instead of stay and fight the next election. (Besides, you’re going to look foolish if she wins and you don’t move, which I bet you don’t.)
Well, if they don’t like it, I hope they take off their Hsu and beat her over the head with it.
I’m sticking with that because she and her husband have played this shell game with the U.S. Citizens for about twenty years now, and it has worked every time.
For once I’d like her ass held accountable for criminal behavior, before we move on to the next subject.
I always thought requiring every body to enroll and to use it, no matter what, is what killed it the first time around. Hopefully it will die this time around too.
That is a good graphic that sums it up. “We are going to take things from you”.
They are going to argue that allowing people to keep their regular plan makes it different.
You’re right. I’m not going to move. I was being sarcastic, hence the reference to Greenland and Vietnam. No I’m not moving to Greenland or Vietnam.
Besides, she’s got my social security benefits. I’ve been working for 33 years to get the benefits I’m entitled to. Of course, if she eliminates them, then all bets are off.
