You might note that the first part of this excerpt about the "usurpations of the national rulers" applies directly to what the Southern States did. Care to explain what "usurpations" were committed by the 'national rulers' in 1860 that justified secession/revolution?

The South was being disproportionately taxed for the benefit of the industrial North. You don't really think the Southerners decided to leave on a whim, do you?
