Sure, it was just an acceptance speech at some silly awards ceremony. However, when Hollywoodans say ridiculous things on television that media applaud along with the Hollywoodans in attendance, someone's got to point out the inanity.
As such, when Sally Field said at Sunday's Emmy awards ceremony as reported by the MRC's Tim Graham, "And, let's face it, if the mothers ruled the war, there would be no (expletive) wars in the first place," I can't sit idly by without contesting such nonsense.
After all, it appears Field has never heard of some famous female leaders who brought their nation's to war:

Sally's made another social blunder. This woman is a mom and her country IS at war.
You bet. Guess they don't have much confidence in their ability to turn out good work and feel they need 'controversy' to get people's attention.
LOL They probably would. Those Hollyweird types crave attention, even if it is only from each other.
I watched The Clinton Chronicles in the early 90s. Why anyone would even think of voting for Clinton after watching that was beyond me, yet, they did. Is this version updated by any chance?
The turd has not obviously heard of The Tamil Tigers in Sri Lanka
“An estimated 4000 women cadres have been killed since then, including over a hundred in ‘Black Tiger’ suicide squads.[54] The assassination of Indian Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi, the attempt on President Chandrika Kumaranatunga and the 2006 attempt on the Sri Lanka Army commander are notable instances where female LTTE cadres launched suicide attacks.”
“Those Hollyweird types crave attention, even if it is only from each other —”
Right, somebody has to go gah gah over their designer gowns, even if it’s just each other. Wish they’d just go to lunch and be done with it.
I will admit that I haven’t watched the Emmies for years and years and now I know why I stopped. Not going to watch the Oscars either.
Not one of them has done anything useful with all their money. There’s not a philanthropist in the lot of them. They don’t build anything they’d want to put their name on. No museums, no art institutes, no schools.
That is a good question. I don’t know. I only saw it for the first time recently.
I read much of the content of the Clinton Chronicles many years ago, mostly in the Wall Street Journal. There are enough eyewitnesses in that video to convict almost anyone.
Hollywierd is a moron magnet.
WHERE is that one! Been looking for it for an hour no!
If they're not dead!
No doubt Ms. Sally is "pro-choice," too!
She hasn't heard of Ma Barker either, apparently.
