Would this lead to a decrease of rainfall? A couple weeks ago an article said rainfall was increasing over the oceans and decreasing over land.

Since 1998, the "normal" trend line approached what had been flukishly warm.

I wish I had a PhD. This science lingo goes right over my head.

One of the main tenets of Al Gore’s Bible, is that as the North Pole Icecap recedes, the suns direct rays on the water will heat the world’s oceans. If the polar cap is melting, another of Al’s predictions will have been shot to hell.

It is, and it was.

Here in Panama City, FL our Gulf of Mexico water temps are normally 87 - 88 degrees this time of the year.

This year they are ranging 84 - 85 degrees.

Since the Gulf temp directly affects our winter temps (acts as a heat sink & releases it in winter), we may be in for some "Local Cooling".

...the "normal" trend line approached what had been flukishly warm.

Means the fish are getting warm, but it's solely for the halibut............
