This is the guy/country Bush was willing to sacrifice his legacy for. Oh, yeah, Mexico is our friend!

The head of the corrupt banana republic calling the Pres cocky.. that’s rich....
To: AuntB
Bush cozied up to Fox while dismissing the people who got him elected.
Yeah, great judgement he has there.

"I can't honestly say that I had ever seen George W. Bush getting to the White House."
A lot of us that worked on his campaign and supported him in his run for Governor just wanted Governor Richards gone. Little did we know we'd end up inflicting him on the rest of the country :-/

Exactly. Whenever I look to see who is insulting Bush, then I know Bush is a good guy because most of the people who hate him are either our enemies or stand for things that I think most of us on FR absolutely abhor.

. . . while dismissing the people who got him elected. Maybe Bush thought the people that voted for him actually paid attention to his campaign?

Perhaps he'll like Duncan Hunter's stance better.
Or maybe not.

It's interesting that the Bush-bashing losers on this thread simultaneously criticize Vicente Fox while joining in on his Bush-bashing.

Fox wore a belt with his name on it and he’s calling someone else cocky?

Did he also go deaf after he was elected?

Fox in the book also calls the president's Spanish skills "grade-school" level I don't see anything past "hands up, don't move" is pretty much just showing off here in the U.S. If your legal you probably speak enough English that you would not make stupid remarks like the one above.
And if you don't speak any English, odd are you are here illegally and need to get out.

In "Revolution of Hope," set to hit book stores October 4, Fox calls Bush "the cockiest guy I have ever met in my life," and is sharply critical of the president's Iraq policy and his immigration stance, according to the magazine. How can Fox seriously say this, although there is a certain irony in it.
Bush fought more fiercely against his base voters and for Mexico and the illegals than he fought for any other issue in his administration.
Bush's low approval ratings are in large part because the conservatives have left him precisely because of his failure to protect America by securing our borders and enforce our immigration laws to pander to Fox and the Mexican government.

This isn’t surprising. The whole time Vincent Fox was in office, Bush bent over backwards to cozy up to him, be nice to him, and do him favors, and Fox never did a thing to reciprocate.
Just look at the record. The one sidedness of this “friendship” sticks out like a sore thumb.

“Im not sure this is a derogatory remark.”
But I’m sure this one is: “I can’t honestly say that I had ever seen George W. Bush getting to the White House.”
Jorge might well wake up one day and realize that he’s defamed and insulted the people who were his strongest supporters, and that he engendered contempt in those he sucked up to. And then again, he might not realize it, but many of those who supported him now realize they were only being used and thrown an occasional bone.
The most positive thing I can say about Jorge now is: John Kerry would have been worse, even though we’d still have a Republican majority in both houses of Congress.

Are you moving the goalposts now? Fact of the matter is, if you had paid attention, you knew what you were getting. What happens afterward is fair game.
