The two leaders shared a border for six years, but former Mexico President Vicente Fox gives a tough assessment on President Bush in a new book out next month, according to U.S. News and World Report.
In "Revolution of Hope," set to hit book stores October 4, Fox calls Bush "the cockiest guy I have ever met in my life," and is sharply critical of the president's Iraq policy and his immigration stance, according to the magazine.
Though he describes warm relations with Bush, Fox in the book also calls the president's Spanish skills "grade-school" level and says, "I can't honestly say that I had ever seen George W. Bush getting to the White House."
In addition to Bush, Fox also sounds off on his "close but rocky relationships" with former British Prime Minister Tony Blair, Cuban leader Fidel Castro, Russian Presidnet Vladimir Putin and Venezuela President Hugo Chávez......
The autobiography is co-written by Robert Allyn, a Texas-based political consultant who has advised both Fox and Bush.

The head of the corrupt banana republic calling the Pres cocky.. that’s rich....
Bush cozied up to Fox while dismissing the people who got him elected.
Yeah, great judgement he has there.
Strange.
Exactly. Whenever I look to see who is insulting Bush, then I know Bush is a good guy because most of the people who hate him are either our enemies or stand for things that I think most of us on FR absolutely abhor.
Maybe Bush thought the people that voted for him actually paid attention to his campaign?
Or maybe not.
This coming from the Anglo-Mex Vicente FOX...the biggest ethnic-cleanser in history.
Fox wore a belt with his name on it and he’s calling someone else cocky?
Maybe Bush thought the people that voted for him actually paid attention to his campaign?
Did he also go deaf after he was elected?
I don't see anything past "hands up, don't move" is pretty much just showing off here in the U.S. If your legal you probably speak enough English that you would not make stupid remarks like the one above.
And if you don't speak any English, odd are you are here illegally and need to get out.
It takes one to know one.
How can Fox seriously say this, although there is a certain irony in it.
Bush fought more fiercely against his base voters and for Mexico and the illegals than he fought for any other issue in his administration.
Bush's low approval ratings are in large part because the conservatives have left him precisely because of his failure to protect America by securing our borders and enforce our immigration laws to pander to Fox and the Mexican government.
This isn’t surprising. The whole time Vincent Fox was in office, Bush bent over backwards to cozy up to him, be nice to him, and do him favors, and Fox never did a thing to reciprocate.
Just look at the record. The one sidedness of this “friendship” sticks out like a sore thumb.
“Im not sure this is a derogatory remark.”
But I’m sure this one is: “I can’t honestly say that I had ever seen George W. Bush getting to the White House.”
Jorge might well wake up one day and realize that he’s defamed and insulted the people who were his strongest supporters, and that he engendered contempt in those he sucked up to. And then again, he might not realize it, but many of those who supported him now realize they were only being used and thrown an occasional bone.
The most positive thing I can say about Jorge now is: John Kerry would have been worse, even though we’d still have a Republican majority in both houses of Congress.
Plenty of blame to go around?
Are you moving the goalposts now? Fact of the matter is, if you had paid attention, you knew what you were getting. What happens afterward is fair game.
