McGreevey tells wife: You'll get zilch from me

Jim McGreevey yesterday accused his soon-to-be-ex wife of "greedily" grabbing at the perks of being New Jersey's First Lady - and refusing to give them back.
In legal papers packed with snide and catty comments, the openly gay McGreevey told estranged wife Dina Matos McGreevey she can expect to get nothing from him.
Matos McGreevey had asked him to pony up $4,000 a month in alimony to help her live a lavish lifestyle like his.
"Her jealousy and contempt are almost out of control," he said.
"She greedily took the perquisites that my job offered her. ... Not only does she view [the governor's mansion] Drumthwackett as an entitlement, but she believes that she must be kept in that kind of lifestyle."
McGreevey resigned as governor in 2004 after announcing he was gay.
McGreevey's legal team said New Jersey law requires alimony payments only if the marriage lasted more than 10 years - and the McGreevey's is only three years old.
"As such, she is not entitled to alimony of any kind," said his lawyer Matthew Piermatti in the papers filed in Union Superior Court.
McGreevey, who pays $1,129 in child support, said his wife's complaint described his lavish lifestyle, concentrating on the 17-room mansion he lives in with his boyfriend.
"It does not belong to me," he said. "I have no lease and stay there only at the pleasure of its owner. ... I own no home."
And he lists his average income as $154,000 - a fraction of the $428,000 his wife claims he made last year and which, he says, included a one-time $250,000 payment for his book.
The pair's lawyers are due back in court next week.

Mc Greedy continues to display his narcissistic greed, just as he did greedily denying the double life he was living to continue his greedy political pursuits.
And, just as he horendously dragged his poor wife and his father out in front of the cameras for his public “confession” (which means “repentance”, which means “change/conversion” of heart/mind) he now demonstrates that the public confession was meant for the cameras only - he did not ever mean any point of contrition he voiced, never.
Certainly not a Will and Grace moment....
I hurried back from walking the family dog in our local scenic park and got back into the fray.
I notice that one account has been deleted or suspended. Perhaps those who must be obeyed, know more than we humble posters. This said by me in good humour. A reply, "Huh"??? does get to one though. Especially if one charges into a post and it is a little garbled. Which my #42 was.
The arc of Mcgreevey’s career would have ended with his 1st marriage — enough damage that — if the NJ Union bosses and membership and the Dem party hacks had any sense of standards beyond “We make sure we get ours”.
well, well, isn’t the new priest-in-training showing the world what a wonderful charitable christian he is going to be.
I’m sure his future congregations will take him very seriously when he preaches to them about how to live a good life.

I hear you there. I lost a 20 year friendship because of the gay son of my friend who thought I said something about gays that I didn't say. I decided I couldn't be part of any of that. Life goes on.
The voters? Take away the union people, and the party hacks — just how many NJ DEM voters are left? Well, those would be the ones that as Abe Lincoln said, the few who can be fooled all the time.
And did the police director say “I’m introducing you to this really nice guy - good political future and I think you two would really click - but he’s gay and has a lot of liasons.” ??

I don’t care if he stays there and pleasures the owner. He should have the cost of the residence imputed to him.

He’s a creepy guy — the wife deserved better, the daughter deserved better and the voters deserved better.
