“You and your beloved family remain in my family’s prayers every day, sir. May God bless you beyond measure in this critical fight to save this free republic.”

Even his daughter?

Alan rejected her, totally, for being a lesbian.

He’s nothing but a professional candidate who lives the high life off the donations of suckers.

These kinda comments are getting rude. Post when you have an arguement of substance. If this Keyes guy sucks soooo bad and can’t get 1% why do you even care? It can mean only a couple of things....

1) Ya’ll are just nasty rude and pissing gas on a fire
2) Yer WRONG but haven’t bothered to check the facts
3) Yer LYING and Keyes IS a serious threat to you

Either way... It’s YOU how come across as the bad apple with posts like these.

Thats the way the media reported the story but I believe the truth is a bit more complex. I think she really ended up losing financial support because while working on his campaign staff she was on her own time actively promoting causes with which he fundamentally disagreed. I believe that the event which finally caused her to get kicked out of the apartment that his campaign had been paying for was when she attended a protest innauguration event. Also, I don’t believe this was as much a case of him rejecting his daughter as of him saying that she is an adult and if she is going to make choices that he fundamentally disagrees with she will have to pay her own way. Basically - he wasn’t going to pay for her to go to Brown and then become a liberal activist.

Here is what Maya Keyes had to say about what had happened during an interview with Metro Weekly - MARCEL-KEYES: “He cut off all financial support, but that’s something that I can totally understand. I am working for things that he’s directly opposed to. It doesn’t make much sense for him to be [financially] supporting someone who is working against what he believes in.”
