phone calls last far longer than those infractions. Maybe if they were eating a stick of lipstick the entire length of their journey.

I believe they call it Multi Tasking. Two years ago a woman in an Excursion hit my wife broadside in a Sam's parking lot. This woman was, by eye witness accounts, going at least 45 mph across the parking lot, completely disregarding all the established traffic lanes. Eye witnesses testified that she was turned around backwards in her seat yelling at her kids, all while talking on a cell phone. This woman actually had the audacity to initially say that my wife, who was following the established lanes, was at fault. It's a thousand wonders that nobody was killed.

Alcohol, drugs, cell phones and a lot of other things don’t mix very well with gasoline. It would be a lot funnier if innocent people were not being killed by those idiots.

Alcohol, drugs, cell phones and a lot of other things dont mix very well with gasoline. Around here we'd have to add illegals up near the top of the list. I think the count is up to 26 or 27 dead Tennessean's so far this year at the hands of drunk illegals....

Stupidity is the major reason for accidents. Illegals are only killing the Tennessean’s that legal citizens won’t. ;0)

Guess so. I don’t know about you, but despite the fact that I can type between 60 and 80 wpm at home and at work, I’m till having a hard time getting over twenty while driving. I find that steering wheel a big pain, don’t you.

Well, I can’t talk about numbers specifically, but I would agree that I see a lot of adults doing it. For some reason I don’t seem to notice that many teenagers driving.

Good.
The nanny state is never good. We are teaching teens to accept government authority instead of making responsible decisions on their own. And those teens will grow up and vote for more nanny measures.

There was, like, this cop, man. I drive by him, I’m on the phone, and he just — like — freaks.

The law banning adults from cell phone use, without hands free devices, while driving has already been passed in California. I think it takes effect next year.
That's right - I forgot about that.

Phone calls can last from 10 seconds to 10 hours or more. Both are now illegal in the car for teenagers, apparently, and will be soon for adults in CA. That means no more calling home and saying "I'm on my way.Be there in 10 minutes honey." Unless of course, you don't mind running the risk of having the nice officers pull you over and give you a ticket that will be at least a couple hundred dollars. Plus you aren't going to get home in ten minutes, and honey's going to be maaaad.

And as goes Karloffornia.....their cancer slowly spreads to the rest of the nation Tell me about it. Kalfornian's and northeastern Liberals are moving to Tennessee in droves. I'm already seeing letters to the editor in the local papers about once a week telling us how much better things were wherever they came from.
If things were so much better there, why did they move here?
