New Hampshire is the state we expect Ron Paul to shine, not Iowa. They are largely anti-war -- the last Iraq war poll had approval ratings as low as 14% suggesting a large majority of Republicans are disenfranchised with the war. Indpendents can vote for candidates in either party at the New Hampshire primary. So no pollster is going to be able to correctly quantify which candidate will get a boost but if the Independents are anti-war, I think it is safe to say that Ron Paul would be the candidate to benefit.

He never "blamed America" but I have no problem with JimRob or other FReepers disagreeing with Paul over foreign policy.
However, on all of the other issues, Dr. Paul is correct, and this to me far outweighs whatever disadvantages he has on foreign policy.
You mean such deep-thinking criticism as saying my wife is too good for me, and referring to her in the past tense? Is that the deep-thinking you mean?
*************
More of the same from you, I see. Nowhere have I suggested that, so it says something about you, rather than about me. Typical.
You make me tired, Petronski. I respectfully request that you go bug somebody else.
Even if that were true, it's not going to be that way for long.
This kook is just another of several embarrassments to the GOP
>> Meanwhile Im still waiting to see any serious grassroots effort by Rudy, Mitt, or especially Fred.
Fred Thompson’s candidacy is as close to a “draft” movement as I’ve ever seen in American politics. He wasn’t even considering joining the race as of February 2007 ... and the groundswell of support for his candidacy drove him to choose to run. Conservatives were dissatisfied with the crop of candidates (including Paul), and drafted Thompson as their candidate of choice.
I’ve not selected a candidate yet ... but it appears to me that Thompson’s campaign was formed, from the ground up, almost ENTIRELY from conservative grassroots support - and that he’s the only grassroots candidate with a legitimate shot at the nomination.
H
He’s quoting Orwell, badly.
Those WERE your words.
A real man would apologize.
Yeah, it is. Now. Will it always be? I hope not. I'm trying to make sure it's not.
Do you have so little faith and trust in our government...
As a matter of policy, I trust government not at all. It's not our government in particular, but government in general that I distrust. It tends to accrete power to itself, and will do so to an unlimited degree unless checked.
...you believe you are living in a totalitarian state that distorts reality?
Am I living in a totalitarian state? No. Does the state I'm living in distort reality? Not precisely. The media certainly does, but not nearly to the degree of Orwell's 1984. Could it do so one day? I hope I never see it.
In parting I leave you the following quote from William Pitt the Younger, which pertains to the topic at hand:
Necessity is the plea for every infringement of human freedom. It is the argument of tyrants; it is the creed of slaves.
I'm not a terribly wise man, and I'm not really a man of action. Rather, I'm a man of ideas, such as they are. I believe very firmly that the current course of the country is bound to do violence to certain very important ideas, ideas on which the country was founded, ideas like the one expressed by William Pitt above.
I'm not your enemy, nor the enemy of this country. I hope you'll believe me, and understand that these are my convictions I'm talking about. They're not political, except in the sense that I vote according to them.
A real man has better things to do than argue on the Internet, as I have done...but if you prefer, I will tender an apology for mentioning your wife in the past tense as though she were dead, which I certainly did not intend.
As to whether she is in fact too good for you, that was and is not my judgment to make, and I hereby withdraw it. I hope you'll forgive me for an out-of-line post that I made in the heat of anger.
Done.
Glad to hear this, hopefully this trend will continue!
The USA Patriot Act and secret strategy meetings to set policy tear into the very concept of We the People. As president, Dr. Paul will protect individual liberty and privacy and restore balance and fairneess in America's electoral system.
The war in Iraq has imposed a tremendous cost on our troops, their families, and our budget. Four years after the start of the war, the violence continues to grow, and there is no end in sight.
This president led us into a war under false pretenses.
You may think these are Ron Paul's quotes, but I LIED to you. I lifted them directly from Kucinich and Hillary's campaign websites, replacing names with Ron Paul, except the last which is our own Joe Biden's. He's not just leftie on foreign policy.
Wrong! Context is everything! If a woman wearing a short skirt were raped and I responded "provocative dress has repercussions" I would be lynched, and rightly so.
You might be lynched, but not rightly so.
That is a VERY good point. However, since the PA's inception not a single challenge has been brought to court where a single individual's rights were violated.
You wouldn’t think I’d be blaming the woman for the rape? Especially if I wanted to call off the search for the rapist??
Its New Hampshire, he is just behind Bulwinkle J. Moose and Chemical Ali.
