[Hillary Clinton] How She Would Govern
Newsweek ^ | Sept. 17, 2007 issue | Jonathan Darman

Posted on 09/10/2007 3:54:43 AM PDT by 2ndDivisionVet

Hillary Clinton has been in politics long enough to know the value of the word "change." In 1992, her husband's political guru, James Carville, hung a white sign in the Clinton campaign war room that read CHANGE VS. MORE OF THE SAME. Bill Clinton won the presidency that year with 370 electoral votes.

Over the course of the summer, she watched her rivals for the Democratic nomination try again and again to define themselves as change and Clinton as the status quo. ("We're more interested in looking forward, not backward," Barack Obama told reporters. "And the American people feel the same way.") But she would not cede the change mantle, no matter how large her lead in national polls, not in an election where the voters were fed up and angry, not when Obama was saying "change" was what he was all about and John Edwards was running a tough populist bid. "The campaign was watching Obama and Edwards peddling this false choice of change versus experience," says someone close to the campaign who did not want to be identified discussing internal matters. "They realized, wow, this is a great opportunity to emphasize one of her strengths"—or, more precisely, it was an opportunity to argue that her years in the capital gave her the experience to make change happen. Triangulation, anyone?

And so through the month of August, Clinton's aides drafted new language that could expand the definition of change to include a woman who'd been in Washington, D.C., for 15 years. "You bring change by working within the system," Clinton finally declared on Labor Day weekend. "You can't pretend the system doesn't exist."

I love how the pro-Hillary media (which is to say 99.9% of it) buys into the "co-president" theme and uses it to give Hillary credit for years more experience than she actually has in elected office. I wonder if the average voter is buying it, though? This article tries to convince us that a Hillary Clinton presidency is a fait accompli and we should all just roll over and accept it. Not so fast, MSM!!

I should have my coffee FIRST in the morning before following a Newsweek link, only to encounter another of their unpaid ads.

She doesn’t have a clue how to govern. She’s a marxist ideologue. She’ll leave the governing to her lackeys, while she formulates her left-wing visions for America. As with blow job boy, her underlings will be chosen according to personal loyalty to Ahab & Jezebel, not competence or commitment to America.

Any President primarily governs from the bully pulpit. Hillary’s high unfavorable ratings, besides hurting her electability, would make her job, even before taking the oath of office, difficult. Hillary will face an even more hostile environment than Bush is experiencing and politics will even more fiercely divisive.

I wonder if the average voter is buying it, though?

From my observations, no. I think the drive-by media is all a twitter with her Thyness, much as they are all a twitter over Britany Spears or Paris Hilton or whatever this week's train wreck happens to be.

When it gets down to the nomination, I think Ms. Rodham has an uphill row to hoe.....I think it can best be described by the term "Clinton Fatigue".....

The ‘barf’ alert is a given, coming from this source. She almost has to do nothing and just keep her mouth shut, the media will carry the water for the witch.

How would Hellery Clinton govern?

We have already seen how she governed the White House travel office, her medical care "feforms" and her "Life with Bill post Ble Dress."

She would be an unmitigated disaster which would weaken our nation to the point it would take 40 years or longer to recover.

I don’t know if its a twitter as much as its a fearful to cross her.
