Der Spiegel has interesting information about the terror bust in Germany; as usual, however, you have to read between the lines:

Three suspected Islamist militants who were planning to attack U.S. installations in Germany had orders to act by Sept. 15....According to surveillance details published in Der Spiegel magazine, the men had been given a two-week deadline for their planned strikes in a late August call from northern Pakistan that was monitored by German police. So al Qaeda's top leaders were anxious to precipitate an attack on Americans by September 15. Why? That's the date on which General Petraeus will deliver his report to Congress. Al Qaeda, as always, was playing to the Democrats in Congress, the press, and the American people. Undoubtedly, similar orders have gone out to al Qaeda's agents in Iraq and around the world.

Note, too, how German authorities found out about the planned attack. They eavesdropped on a phone call from Pakistan to Germany. This is the exact equivalent of the NSA program that is ritually, but inaccurately, described in the press as "domestic spying." Most Democrats denounce the program as unconstitutional.

Further, it was the NSA program that brought the German terrorists to light:

The arrests were the culmination of an investigation that began a year ago, when U.S. officials alerted German authorities to e-mails intercepted from Pakistan. If the Democrats get their way, the NSA will not be able to use this tactic unless it has enough knowledge, enough days in advance, to get an order from a FISA judge. You can be sure, however, that the liberals will never mention this incident when they denounce the program as an invasion of constitutional rights.

If the GOP can’t win in 2008 with all this going on, how can they ever win. The Dems have provided so much cannon fodder for them.

Unfortunately, the problem is with the voters and Rat voter fraud too.

The Pubs stupidity is driven by their desire to try to appear reasonable (hence RINOs). But as with the Islamic enemy we are fighting, you can't be reasonable, you have to fight at the same level as the enemy but more viciously. The Rats are vicious and deserve defeat. But...

The Rats will gain control because enough voters are that stupid (aided by fraud and the new vote trading schemes). The Rats will lose control once enough US blood has been shed in the mainland by these Islamists that the voters remaining wise up.

How much blood and economic disaster that will take I can't say. They are already wiping 9-11 out of their minds.

A very good question. One which we are all too likely to find the answer in less than 14 months.

Because the main stream media, where the majority of voters still get their information, runs interference for these traitors. As Buzz Patterson said yesterday in Crawford, (and probably at earlier stops on the Move America Forward Fight for Victory Tour they cover Osama Bin Laden's latest missive as divine revelation, but when their group was told (By CNN but they're hardly unique) that their message was "not what America wanted to hear".

Hey! I got a blog on News/Activism. Of course it’s Power Line, and that blog has more readers than most newspapers.

It seems that FR has a program that kicks you out of the News/Activism section and shuffles you off to blogger oblivion if they detect that you are using "blogger." Which is a shame because there's a lot of good stuff that gets aggregated by people like me who use blogger because it's free. For example, Osama bin Laden’s Favorite Pundit We should be asking why the man once responsible for tracking down OBL is now one of his favorite authors.
