I actively support HUNTER AND THOMPSON

Posted on 09/08/2007 9:24:29 PM PDT by Allan S.

I think we need both Thompson and Hunter on the final ticket. It is too early to rule out HUNTER as top of ticket, but presently it looks like THOMPSON in the top spot. These guys should follow Reagan's "Eleventh Commandment" as regards each other. I think I was the first to suggest Hunter run for the presidency, on the F.A.I.R.(Dan Stein Report) Commentaries. I have been bullish for Thompson, whenever he addressed illegal immigration, or addresses a madness like the "Sanctuary City Movement". Let us pray that these two seemingly good conservatives can avoid trashing each other in any ungentlemanly or permanent way. They really need each other, and the nation needs them both. Folks, America is fatally wounded by the Mexican invasion, and drastic political surgery, alone, can save the patient!

Really? Where? I’ve got to see this. It was just the other day that E3 denied to me that he was one.

Hunter as VP is wasted. He should be Fred’s DefSec.

I'd rather see Hunter as the head of Homeland Security. The fence WOULD be built.

In the primaries, my active support goes to Thompson and Obama. Both are electable representatives of their own parties’ ideological and political traditions. For president, as did General US Grant, I believe almost any Republican superior to almost every Democrat. Obama’s vice presidential selection will (be) pale beside him, but Republicans have a bit of a history of choosing trouble. Don’t want another Agnew, don’t want another Cheney.

Yes, Hunter would be excellent in that position. And once he gains some visibility (people here at FR have told me he has none), we can hope for a President Hunter the next time around.

Well, Homeland is lowest man on the Cabinet totem poll. His expertise is defense, so DefSec makes the most sense.

Some liberal babe on Fox Business Saturday morning, said today that FredT is gonna pick Sen Judd Gregg as his running mate before too long. In order to pacify NH voters. LOL I though it was a crazy thing to say.

Before we talk about who Fred`s running mate will be, he first has to get the nomination. His chances are good, but they would be better if the second tier candidates backed out now. Its time to start waking up to reality. The first primaries/caucuses are less than four months away. And the prime goal is to make sure the liberal Giuliani doesn't get the nomination. With a fractured GOP, Rooty’s chances improve.

What a nut. Candidates don’t pick their running mates before the first primary votes are even cast.

I agree about 2nd tier candidates backing out.
Thompson should consider making a deal with Hunter to appoint him to Defense Secretary if Duncan drops out before Iowa and endorses him.

Which one?
The one with the “9/11 Was an Inside Job” sign or the one with the “Stop the NeoCon Mad Men” sign?

And just who is going to clean up all the exploding liberals should this scenario pan out?

Well, Homeland is lowest man on the Cabinet totem poll.

That's only because the current administration put it there. Hopefully, the next president will understand that nothing is more important than homeland security and will give DHS the top rank it should have.

Fred would be wise to go with a strong debater with proven exective experience and a dynamic personality that would balance his low key personality. That person would be Mitt Romney.

First of all, I atoned for my Giuliani sins long before the April purge. The fact is, is that I don't support him now.

I support both Paul & Thompson because of their views on the Constitution and limited government. I've always been a "Paulite" since he was worshipped here on FR (Yes, there was a time when Paul was THE MAN on FR, I've been here since 1999 kiddo). Right now I'm undecided as to whom I'll vote for in the primaries.
