Oprah’s endorsement for the Obama campaign slips out from under the “equal time” rules of the FCC because the rules do not apply to news programs, documentaries or interview shows in which a single candidate is the only focus point of the show. Republican lawyers will want to take a closer look at these laws now since Matthew Mosk of the Washington Post reported in Houston’s Chronicle’s online site September 6 2007 that in an audio forum aired recently Oprah said “the Obama’s will be her only political guests.”

it has been reported having Obama running is to raise twice as much money for Hillary.Some have suggested he will drop out and donate all the raised money to Hillary.
That was the thinking when we backed him on FR in the Senate primary. No way a Black Marxist with a Mohammadan name was going to win statewide in IL. He won. The fact that he isn’t as well known and divisive as Hillary is a positive in his favor in a general election.

That’s okay. He may not even be THE candidate. Even if he is, I’ll put up with a free press before I’ll countenance the Fairness Doctrine being implemented again.

I think Oprah gets too much credit. Alot of people these days have been recognizing her for her racism and elitist attitudes. And not to be forgotten...her grand failure into the foray of movie making...her Beloved was not so beloved by critics or the public. It tanked.
